no you only have one marine when they 9 pool and you have 2 marines when they 12 hatch and if you see them build 6 lings, the easiest and best way is just build a bunker at your nat
Yes that is correct. So I guess my last question would be, what if you were in his nat while he spawned the lings so that you only saw them as he was leaving his natural? I don't think your bunker would finish in time in close positions, so would I just pull 2 SCVs to hold off? |

bisu build - gate core gate nexus before starting goons and after that fast third
Does stork's double gas steal 4 gate goon count, or is it too cheesy?

You should never really be attacking with only lings. Generally you can use lings in combination with mutas to clean up a group of marine/medic that you harassed down to small numbers - like down to one control group.
But if you must attack with only lings, try to attack groups that are less than 1 control group. A 2:1 ling:marine ratio works well here. If you are attacking a larger group you will need more lings. Firebats can also be a dealbreaker when you only have lings.
(I am assuming you are talking about speedling vs marine/medic)Last edit: 2011-07-16 05:23:05 |

| What's the best mechanic/macro build a beginner should learn and use for TvP? Currently I use the Flash/Double Armory Build. I go for FE, 2 Armories, 2/1 Push at 200/200. |

Flash build is the staple of macro TvP. As a beginner, you should focus on being able to execute and and macro the build order properly. Study liquipedia and some flash games. It will be much easier for you if you stick to favorable maps (with easy 3rd, like FS).
I dunno if you were just trying to be succinct in your description, but you get the second armory after your third base. |

Yeah, I know about the second armory after the third base. I use liquipedia, but I always lose my third...especially on fighting spirit. I really need to work on defending my third. |

The thing I hate is as terran you can only move roughly half your units to your third while toss can move his whole army to snipe your third. Make sure your not completely sitting in your base this whole time, get speed vults with mines running around(yes you can get them with a double arm build) so you can keep him playing minesweeper.
Also know the specific walls for each third. 6 can be walled with 1depot+1rax/bay for instance. I'll post the walls for each later.
This is just me but I played TvP intill D+/C- using 6 fact. I think it helps hone than macro/micro down and encourages high apm where as flash build the one where you camp will tank/gol then build waves of vul is slow.
I played before flash had his impact on tvp, but I personally think flash style tvp is pretty high level and requires high game sense and mechanics, but I guess it is the best build to learn just maybe not the easiest to ease into TvP with, imo |

| Does anyone know how the path finding for muta bounces work? A clump of mutas will always hit the same 3, so it's not random, there doesn't seem to be a priority target, and they don't necessarily go for the closest or farthest possible target. |

Thanks! Do you still go on sc2gg? I'm a D player now, not D-, not D-/D, I'm actually above 1000. All of the advice on sc2gg helped me a ton...and Ver's guide of course. |

Just host a game in lan and put computer and start the game. When it is counting down, remove the computer and press continue playing when they said you have won.
On another note, D- terran here. Do you actually need to do perfect groups into a hotkey (eg 12 marines, pure vults, pure tanks)? I mean i know tvp hotkeys is usually 1 and 2 vults, 3 tanks, 4 gols + sci vessels, but it has been irritating me very much since i can take up to 10 seconds to rehotkey everything esp after a battle and that screws up my entire macro. If im supposed to do that, is there any way to quickly hotkey? |

get your existing hotkeys and Shift select everything you wish to add to it and and control group it.
and yes get your hotkeys right, you dont want 1 vulutre stopping 11 tanks sieging. |

generally you will never want to mix tanks with anything else. tanks always group with tanks. vultures and gols are not so stringent but if you are aiming on doing lots of vulture harass, then grouping your vultures together is better than adding in a goliath. if you are regrouping your stuff, try to keep around 2 control groups of vultures so that you can plant mines easily. other than that, it really doesn't matter if you get gols with some vultures as well. |

Yeah but T strat question will pretty much only get feedback from me because it's dead over there, your gonna get more help over here regarding BW. You've been around a while yet I've never actually seen you online :/
We should play/watch reps sometime |

You can use these maps on Use Map Settings to practice BO's. These maps by LML are really helpful. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=236426
