lol
I BELIEVE (not certain) he got lasec or some laser surgery or something on his eyes. I think he uses the glasses on and off just in case. Ironically, i believe he tends to win more games with them on. |

Stork got Lasik eye surgery, but he started losing really bad after he took off his glasses so he started to wear them again. When wearing the glasses had no effect, he trashed em. I think he mentioned this on the Battle.net attack episode. |

| Is there a guide on how to forward ports? What does "forward ports" mean and does it mean something bad outside of iccup? |

there are guides but the specifics vary for every network box.
"Port forwarding" is a technique where a router or other similar apparatus is told to "forward" incoming connections to a specific destination. Typically, a home network has a router connected to the internet, and one or more computers connected to the router. If you try to host a game on your destkop, your computer waits for incoming connections from other newbs. However, when they try to join your game, the connection only gets as far as your router, who has no idea what starcraft is and therefore drops the connection. Setting up forwarding of port 6112 to your desktop tells the router that all connections labeled "6112" should be sent directly to your computer. 6112 is an arbitrary number that was chosen by blizzard when developing starcraft.
To set up port forwarding, in the vast majority of cases, you only need to know the administration password of your router. Look at the details of your internet connection (find a "details" button somewhere in your windows network config). There is a record called "ipv4 default gateway", which often looks something like 192.168.1.1. Type that in your browser address bar. An authentication page should appear, this is where you need the password. After that just look around for something called port forwarding or similar. Once you find it, you will need to enter the port number (6112), the protocol (UDP), and the destination address (which you can also find in connection details, called "ipv4 address").
If you don't know the password, you can either look online for default password (google search your router model name); look in the box the router originally came with, or call your ISP they were the ones to provide it and gave no password.
Edit: there is nothing bad in forwarding ports, except that once you forward some port to some machine, no other computer on your network will be able to use that port (i.e. you may have trouble trying to play starcraft from another computer).Last edit: 2011-10-08 00:27:24 |

Hello! I started playing sc2, but now i am getting more and more interested in bw; i haven't played the game itself yet as i dont have the cd, but im practicing my mechanics on sc2bw for now. The thing i have the most trouble with is army control when armies get pretty big (over say 3 control groups); i can't quite hotkey units in a way that makes sense, make the army move together, control it properly, and add reinforcements to my current army: the result is that usually half my army runs to its death while the other sits there doing nothing. Are there any tips to imrpove my army control? Thanks! |
| | Protoss all-ins are like a wok. You can throw whatever you want in there and it will turn out alright. |

| Manually telling reavers to attack something after they have been dropped doesn't cause them to begin attacking faster, right? Feels like you have to wait forever sometimes. |

No but you should do it anyway to make sure it attacks what you want it to.

Try spamming right click, should cause the units that are freaking out and bumping into each other to get up in a more orderly and faster way. |

sorry - its off topic, but you don't even need the CD key to play BW. iccup.com - enjoy! |

Uh spam click is nice, but generally you want to move the units at the top/bottom (if you're going up/down, respectively) first, then the units following it. Generally it's some random unit that's blocking the entire parade. |
