PROTOSS
Archon Now a Massive unit. Range increased from 2 to 3. Cybernetics Core Research Warp Gate research time increased from 140 to 160. Gateway Sentry train time decreased from 42 to 37. Warp Gate unit train times remain unchanged. Pylon power radius has been decreased from 7.5 to 6.5.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Ghosts could not quickly EMP the same location. Fixed an issue that allowed players to stack air units when issuing a queued stop command before the units reached the end of their patrol point. Fixed an issue where unplugging your USB headset while another player was talking to you could cause a crash. Fixed an issue where the APM statistic could be artificially increased. Fixed an issue where 3D unit portraits were not animating smoothly at slow game speeds. Fixed an issue where, when viewing a replay, no text message was displayed when a player left a game. The Taiwanese hotkey to display/hide the game UI while in Observer mode now works correctly.

Fixed an issue where the APM statistic could be artificially increased.
People wii now see my true APM
|
So no further changes.
Everything sounds great to me except the Thor energy... but we discussed that in the other threads already.
|
This patch seems really rushed to me, id rather see them test it out some more..
|
Nothing new it seems from the latest PTR version of 1.3.3, let's see how this will affect TSL and GSL finals.

hm does anyone know how you could increase your apm artificially? just wondering if i did it accidently, so i wont be dissapointed (lol) when im droppin in numbers alot in 1.3.3
|
So this will be live on KR server for GSL tomorrow? Pretty huge deal when people fighting for survival in code s.
|
Wow I tought the patch would hit after the GSL finals, lets say how this plays out.
Yes i realize this is SEA but it should hit all servers later in the day or tomorrow

Prob was one of those instances where leaving a button pressed counted as many many actions or something silly like that. I actually have no idea

I think it refers to the one where you hotkey a couple units, say 2 workers each their own hotkey and then you can keep both the hotkeys pressed and it will go like 12121212 super fast. And then you could expand that with more so it does 123456 in the same time it does 12 so you could get over 10k+ APM.

|
I really wished that Blizzard let the game develop naturally. They keep completely changing the matchups right before major events too -_-'

they are testing it out some more, on SEA as usual lol

Wait, right before the GSL finals? How is this at all a good idea?

Wasn't expecting it this week, should make things interesting though.

I agree. It is on PTR in this version for like... one week maybe? It doesn't fix anything severe either. Too many balance changes lately and no race in particular is too fond of the patch as all races are nerfed somehow (even though infestor change is quite minor, but Zerg won't stop complaining about balance with this patch...).
|
Too soon imo. I can't believe the Thor change is still in the patch. It seems that Blizzard doesn't actually believe in allowing the meta game to sort things out, and would rather aggressively nerf things for some reason. What a shame.

They keep completely changing the matchups right before major events too -_-' Yeah, the thor change seems like a kneejerk reaction to Thorzain and the other couple of pro matches that were shown with those thor timing pushes, and while they seem hard to defend against as protoss, the time hasn't been given to truly see if it is a balance problem or just a general metagame problem.
But I guess we're forced to go with Blizzard's decision on this.
