Justin.tv is funded by Alsop Louie Partners, Tim Draper and Y Combinator. + Show Spoiler +From day one, SteelSeries has been focused on making high performance gaming gear used by the most demanding, top professional gamers worldwide and peripherals that provide superior quality and a competitive edge to gamers of all skill levels. We believe, as most gamers do, in winning, not trying! What originally began with two people who recognized the need for superior, high-quality/performance gaming gear that would give gamers a competitive edge, has grown into a global leader in gaming and entertainment gear sought after for their high performance capabilities. Fast-forward to today, and we’ve come a long way since our first glass mousepad. We have global offices in North America, Europe, and Asia, providing an integrated portfolio of products designed specifically for gaming. Fueling our growth is you, the gamer! While we are proud of our technology and product innovation, we are even more excited about how these products are developed to meet the needs of gamers. Many companies may claim to develop superior gaming products but few actually do. Instead, they spend countless hours with lab engineers trying to force fit a new technology with bells and whistles and mediocre functionality for the end-user. At SteelSeries, we develop our products with a small internal team and a vast network of technology partners, channel partners, game publishers, and gaming communities around the globe. We aren’t afraid of being challenged and implementing new ideas. Our main goal is to always to listen to the collective feedback of our professional gaming community. We won’t bore you with cheeky slogans, trying to underline our authenticity as gamers. We fully acknowledge that the best professional gamers in the world know more about what they want and what will make them better, than we do. We are proud to be working with our partners, but we can’t take credit for their invaluable input and feedback. Instead we tell it like it is: they help us. We want to know what works and what doesn’t. For this reason, SteelSeries creates innovative solutions that provide a competitive advantage for all gamers. Critical to our company’s success is also our reinvestment in the gaming communities and the individuals who support them. As a result, our corporate philosophy is to take a substantial portion of our revenue and put it back into the gaming community to help spur industry growth. We support our community in numerous ways, ranging from co-hosting tournaments like Iron Lady and King of the Hill, and supporting gaming competitions of all sizes, to promoting the top and up-and-coming gaming teams/organizations. Put simply, SteelSeries does not claim to invent or reinvent the gaming industry. Nor do we focus on one specific product, copy other companies or follow the crowd. Instead we leave it to you, the gamer, our customer/partner/inspiration, to decide if we are deserving of such declarations and accolades. What we do promise, however, is to remain committed to you. We will continue to work with you and the gaming community to make the best products possible and give you that competitive edge. We will continue to do our best to support the growth of the professional gaming industry and give back to the gaming communities. By doing so, we don’t just talk a good game, we win! Thank you, The SteelSeries Team Matches will be cast on ESV TV - Click here to go to ESV TV![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/XFV1E.jpg) Week 16Day 112/6/2011 6PM EST[local]Day 212/7/2011 6PM ESTDay 312/8/2011 6PM EST Weekly Total Prize: - $200 per week1st place - $100 2nd place - $50 3rd/4th - $25 Finals Total Prize Pool - $500Total Prize Pool a month - $1300 + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + Q: Will these games be cast live? A: We will be casting live, however we will be using replays. With all our casters being based in North America, we cannot feasibly cast live in game without casing lag. Also we want to present this at good times for English speaking fans.
Q: What is a "confirmed team" A: This means at least one player from that team has expressed interest in playing and will be a participant. Some teams like Liquid will only be fielding a few players, and other teams like SlayerS will be trying to make it so their entire roster can play.
Q: I thought only GOM could run tournaments in Korea? A: That is true in part. GOM has the broadcast rights in Korea but has been kind enough to allow these events. We are very thankful to GOM who also assisted us in reaching out to the teams!
Q: Why is "Korean Team X" not represented? A: At this point invites have been sent out to every major Korean team. Some have yet to reply, but rest assured I think we will have every major Korean team involved, so make sure and pay attention as as more teams confirm I will add them to the OP.
Q: What will be the map pool? A: This was a big source of debate and here is what we came up with. We realize that the Koreans play mainly on GSL maps for the GSL. However we don't want to totally leave our maps out. So it will be a combo of the two, that will likely be a bit more GSL map heavy.
Q: Will replays be released? A: Yes! Some will in fact be released. They will be limited to uncasted games, but every week you will be able to get your hands on some very sick Korean replays!
Q: These casts are at bad time for Europe, what gives? B: We are aware of this and are looking into a EU rebroadcast, I will let everyone know when I know more
Special thanks to; GOM TV, TorCH, Chae Jung Won, the ESV TV image team, and all our fans!

This is awesome news. As much as I love GomTV, I think it's important to have more tournaments like this so that more players get exposure and competitive experience. It could also be good news for foreigners that are thinking about going to Korea -- one of the issues people keep bringing up is that if even if you get into Code A through the league exchange, you have to make it into Code S to make a decent amount of money because there aren't any other tournaments to compete in in Korea. This could help improve that situation a bit.
More competition = good for everyone, thanks for making this possible. Really curious to see how things turn out -- will we see a lot of big names dominate, or will some of the lesser-known players shine? Can't wait to see! |

| Will that tournament be open or just 32 guys from the teams? A open tournament with a bracket like 256/512 players would be epic... If it succed TL could then make a proper korean qualifiers for TSL4 |
