And then Cersei acts as regent for King Tommen, de facto queen, but winds up in jail along with Margaery Tyrell, first Renly's then Joff's then Tommen's wife. I wonder if Kevan accepts being the new regent for Tommen or how the succession continues in ADwD.

| Okay guys, this thread is actually good for me, because I'm halfway through book 2, but before I read a series I always read the full plot summary from wikipedia. In what way is Catelyn a "Zombie"? I know she is referred to as Stoneheart, but is she still there in the head? Does she still think how she once did, or is she literally just a zombie? |

Zombie is a simplification I suppose. She's walking around but she had been dead for days before she was brought back to life (with a kiss from Beric, the Lightning Lord), so shes somewhat decomposed.
She's described as "the thing that was Catelyn Stark" so I think zombie is a fair assessment.

she basically revived after being killed but her wounds didnt heal so she cant talk anymore cause she got a columbian necktie |

She gets killed in the Red Wedding and then resurrected by Thoros of Myr. But since they cut deep into her throat to kill her, her vocal chords are severed and she can't speak once resurrected. So that effect plus her grim nature and seemingly 'cold' hearted nature towards anyone or anything not aligned with her vengeance-trip contributes to her new epithet.Last edit: 2011-05-23 07:36:25 |

| We haven't gotten a good look at zombie Cat yet. She seems to be 'different' than she was during life, but whether that's because of a fundamental change that's a direct result of the resurrection/zombification or whether it's just a change in personality because she believes that her whole family has now been murdered remains to be seen. |

My Personal theory is that you lose a part of your 'humanity' after resurrection i.e. its impossible to be 100% 'restored'. I also think you lose more the longer you are dead.
Catelyn was dead for several days at least, maybe even a week (I'm going off memory). So there's not a whole lot of 'Catelyn' left, she only lives for revenge on the people who made the red wedding. |

Todays episode is called 'The Golden Crown', this is gonna be awesome :D
I dont think they are going to kill the king next episode, but as im re-reading book 1 I am surprised how fast the banners went up and all that fighting happened, they have a LOT of stuff to cover in the rest of this series, I honestly cant wait.

I always blamed Sansa. If she hadn't went and told Cersei that they were leaving King's Landing, I think they could have all gotten away. And the story would be completely different. Can you imagine if Ned was around? How many people would rally behind him instead of the Lannisters.
