Airforce ACE was forged by progamers forced to join the Korean Airforce (by Boxer?)
Perhaps now Savior will create a villain team of imprisoned pro-gamers? :D Dominating the scene when they get released!

Haha oh wow. 4 years ago, I was planning to write an article about what I called battle tactics. My main character was going to be Savior. The game that sparked the idea was another Savior ZvT on Hitchhiker that featured the exact same attack on T's third as in Savior vs Midas. I never posted it because I'm a lazy sloth and I wasn't quite happy with the result.
So... this is slightly weird and very awesome. You said everything I wanted to write and much more and I'm extremely happy Savior finally gets some recognition for his tactics. |

Awesome article.
Savior will leave a legacy similar to that of OJ Simpson. Both achieved incredible success in their career, but people will forever be hesitant to recognize and praise their accomplishments for the crimes they've committed. |

| Thanks for blowing my mind out of the water XD Very interesting to see how advanced BW is in comparison SC2 as I only started playing multiplayer with SC2, a massive mistake I made it seems...=P |

Thank you Ver, HawaiianPig and disciple,
rts exist only when it is at its best,
savior brought so many stones to the edifice, it needed to be said/typed up.
Hope his mindset/depth of play will survive in star2.

This is excellent. I was actually talking about this to my friend (on a much more basic level) when I saw the JD vs FlaSh and Soulkey vs (some random terran) game at the immediately post-Spire stage, where the modern 1-group MnM terran aggression would be swept into the dustbin by continual muta/ling threats followed by overstimming and eventually an isolated death. This analysis gives me the shivers.
People seem to forget that Genghis Khan won the war against the Persians not because he rode his entire army across the desert, but because he found a way to cripple the capital cities by outmaneuvering the Persians and finding safe paths to travel... |

And I thought that Savior is an overrated player but now I think that his is the great one. His W/L ratio was really impressive |

Excellent read.
Really shame that GOM will not accept Savior to play SC2 (not sure if he would want to). |

This is what teamliquid is all about. Long and deep articles about SC strategy and its all done by the love of the game.
Its been a long time since a Final Edit about brood war was included. This article is much rewarded and it gave me 2 delightful hours of reading and watching epic historical vods. Thanks a bunch! |

Only people who haven't seen him play in his prime will talk shit about savior as a player, he was so dominating, so beautiful to watch, so different of everything we had seen before and yet so effective.
What I liked most of his play was how the games would always be played on his terms, he would dictate the game from start to finish in dominating fashion, almost like if his opponent would be a puppet, he knew exactly when and how to expand and push further ahead, keeping the other guy on his toes.
Also, every now and then he would blow our minds with some bold moves, like the double expand before pool on longinus vs Light, sweet.
I was a toss player in need of a hero for many years, since I didn't particularly like Nal_Ra's style I had been quite sad in that matter almost since Reach's breakthrough and seeing how new tosses failed one after another, and my favourite Rainbow struggling season after season, I kind of lost interest in pro scene for a short period here because of thar, Anytime who? Pusan? scrubs!
Watching Savior would make me love the game again, like watching July but on a completely reverse style.
Maestro did so much for this game, scandal crap was a huge letdown, sad, sad thing, it will never take away how great of a player he was during his prime, while "legal". |

Awesome article.
I remember downloading every sAviOr ZvT win during his peak. My favourite move from him was that double mind trick stop lurkers, where he only used stop lurkers below the ramp and placed two lurkers above the ramp. His opponent sent a scouting marine and saw two lurkers above the ramp and assumed it was safe and went into the hold lurkers below the ramp. It was vs an unknown player, cant remember who.
