Exactly. Most Korean players only do GSL (with some exceptions ofc). Stephano is, in EU and in NA, winning tournaments left and right, smaller or bigger doesn't matter. If you want to make a living of SC2 you have to make money to feed yourself. If he left to korea only to participate in GSL, Stephano would be setting apart many opportunities to make a living. |

He really needs korean terran code S to practice, he just never lose versus Kas, as far as i remember and according to liquipedia, plus 3 days ago, he played 3 times in a row versus him and win all 3 games.
Thorzain is good but even with his "crappy" ZvT, he already won too much versus him, plus he said that he tries to practice as much as he could with him, but when i watch his practice games, it's always with Bling.
I don't really know Dragon but for at least one month, they won't practice together and AFAIK, Dragon is not a korean code S level, not yet.
His only solution is to go back to korea for a while, like he's thinking, he's not dumb, if he wants to return there, it's obviously for the korean terran.
PS : since Polt is going to Lone Star Clash, MLG and IPL4, maybe he'll try to stay with him and practice with him there.Last edit: 2012-03-07 23:14:31 |

I don't think that his practice partners are the cause of his ZvT problem. In fact I don't think that he has a ZvT problem, it's just that Polt is a very smart player and studied Stephano enough to beat him. Stephano needs a coach to help him prepare against Polt, not terrans practice partners. Polt even said in an interview that he specifically adapted to Stephano's play because his (Stephano) standart play was too good |

I actually think Stephano just needs to practice his tvz some to refine some of his late game timings. He's too good for most EU terrans so he blows them out or has a huge lead going into the late game. Stephano said himself that he doesn't practice tvz or zvz, just tvp, so the fact he is practicing tvz is a very good sign. He learns so quickly that any time spent practicing a match up is time well spent and both Kas and Thorzain are Code A class players IMO and each is as good at T as Mana is at P and, from practicing with Mana and Bling (who's OK but not on Mana's level, Stephano elevated his vP to godly levels. |
