Lets say I'm a college student. I'm a pretty above average looking kid (i know because I'm in a school fashion show as a runway model) there are tons of hot girls around so it should be a shoo-in right? A couple of problems:
- The main people in charge are kinda serious, so people are encouraged not to talk during practices. But people still chit chat at the side, so its fine, its just that there will be some periods of silence - The main thing is that there are a couple of frat guys with some inherent social proof with their (better) looks and well, social life, so girls seem more open to them (or it could be me giving myself excuses) - I sometime catch the girls giving me glances, but if its from across the room, I cant really do anything about that. I dont wanna try too hard (remember, this is a legit organisation and I have to practice with them for some prolonged periods of time) - I'm Asian, so I can tell really strong IOIs given from Asian girls, and I don't have to do much (I literally can spit any nonsense and they will just fall on themselves laughing) but when I try to approach non-Asian girls, (maybe I get approach anxiety) it just comes out weird. I have to reset my frame of mind? - Again, most of the models are your typical poli-sci, or english majors, voice majors (humanities) and most of the guy models are engineers/ I am the only computer science kid. It shouldn't get to me i know, but computer science kids are perceived to be lame. I try to work the "I'm actually a cool cs kid!" approach, sometimes fail, or comes out too techy.

I think your 4th point is probably the most important. Your reads are probably far easier with Asian girls cuz that's what you already know very well and it's unconscious/effortless. Probably the unknown with non-Asians that's giving you the anxiety and I'm guessing the non-Asians can smell that a mile away

Why does this thread still exist. The whole PUA community is a scam. It preys on men who don't have any self-confidence or personality. Sure, they come out of it with some false-confidence and a stilted personality, which I guess they would think is a massive improvement. But it's like learning to play the piano with your fists. You are result oriented. Focus on getting better. You dont have the luxury of figuring out who likes who doesn't. You will never get good. I mean, if you want to settle for a girl friend eventually, that might work. But if you want to get better, disregard any IOIs, disregard what other guys are doing.
