Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition is an awesome game! It's available right now for Xbox, PS3 and PC. If you're a beginner or new to the game, going through 135 pages (and counting!) can be pretty daunting. Here are some of the videos I wish I knew about when starting!

This is a 3-part series to "2d Fighters" by mingtongzhi, but all the game play is from Street Fighter 4. Highly recommended in order to understand the correct mindset when fighting.
Made by the same guy, useful again in that it teaches you what is important in the heat of battle.
Lengthy video series by VesperArcade that really goes in-depth into how the game works. Covers important topics like Plinking, Option Selects, Linking, Canceling, etc.
And finally, if you play Ryu - a guide made by top-player Air. It's an advanced guide in that it assumes you know most of his basic stuff. Mostly covers character-specific tactics and obscure tricks that can be used.

Today on Xbox I saw the "Update Kit" and "Arcade Edition" now available for purchase and APMed my way to the store, only to find it's still not on sale yet (as of this post).
Hopefully it quickly goes on sale and without incident! Who else is pumped for the release, and what are you looking forward to? I also want to fool around with Evil Ryu but it's weird not having anything combo into c.mk. Also c.lp -> cl.st.hp -> mp. axe kick doesn't seem to work either.
If they don't patch Yun it's going to be third strike all over again. From what I've played of him he is absolutely 100% ridiculous. His palm has huge priority because it has a tiny hitbox but it's active frames are enormous so it punishes any whiffed poke and he can do like 40% with two meters on counterhit. He is sick, sick, sick good.

You guys should have seen the last NSB (Nagoya Street Battle). Yun players dominated so hard. I don't think he's broken or anything, but I just think he's by himself in S-tier.

I haven't been keeping up with AE. I need to figure out who's at least 4-6 against twins (and is not Gief or Fei***, since I'm not interested in playing them) and hit the lab.

Can you write down some new combos that are now viable for Ken with AE? When I first started, I played Ryu and the girlfriend played Ken. She doesn't play often so that's still her main. I know s.lp now combos into sweep, but what else is possible (and good).
I hear the target combo has been improved, so I guess target combo -> EX tatsu is now the optimal punish if close?
Also, anybody know Yun's kara throw?

ken can also combo c.mp, c.mp, c.hk now. basically any links ryu could do, ken has 'em now
and no optimal punish still won't be target combo, it'll still be cl.rh xx rh tatsu, or c.fp. target combo will do less i think

anyway my main got buffed, so i'm happy. sakura's got new links so it's lab day whenever i can get my hands on a stick (mine is broken T_T)
as far as tier lists go, Yun is definitely #1, followed by Yang and Fei
after them is new Ken, then maybe Makoto, but Cammy, Abel, Chun, Gief, Viper, and Sagat are A tier... probably a couple others

AE ken is basically super ken with better normals, same mixup game, kara throw, with ryu links now.
edit: really cammy A-tier? haven't been keeping up with the AE scene outside of playing it myself, but i really thought no more non ex cannon strike would be a major nerf for her. also most of u guys know this but AE makoto is nuts

Dunno how I'm gonna adjust to EX green hand change, it's gonna be weird. Also what worthwhile links are there for Sak? I can't imagine cancelable fs.mp will be worth all that much? Seems like the best thing she's getting is faster fireball recovery.

chun's nerfs were very slight. s.mp damage reduced to 70 from 90, c.rh stun reduced to 100 from 100, df.lk hitbox and invulnerability changed.

instant tkcs was really good, but it's not entirely necessary for her pressure game. having it cost a meter is just fine. she's still an incredibly strong character who hasn't really been developed in super past tkcs + option selects. she is still very, very good

her cl.mp is now +6 on hit, +3 on block, opening a ton of new link options and frame traps. and her far s.mp being cancellable adds a lot of buffer options that didn't exist before. the move's good against things like bison s.hk where c.mk can't beat it out cleanly
they also made a very vague comment that they 'improved the hitboxes and frames on some of her normals', mentioned alongside specific changes to cl.mp. will take some experimentation.

Any theories about two possible characters? SSF4 was my first fighting game so I don't know any of the older cast, but new characters would be cool, obviously. My read is that there won't be, seeing how there has been 0 news of other unlockables in the Arcade.
Also, when is AE coming out already? In the next 12 hours, or are we still looking at 1 full day? Just excited ;p

I don't think it's out yet, I play in an Arcade ^^;
Dictator nerfs are pretty minimal he's still able to compete easily, especially against people that don't fully understand the matchup. Sagat got buffed a bit from super, and Ken seems like Vanilla ken that hit a bit harder and with less scheisty hitboxes now. Yang and Yun are fun to play, but they're so obnoxious that they really piss people off. Yun seems S+ tier to me, he's better than Vanilla Sagat/Akuma.
Edit: And yeah, EX Green hand not knocking down is like the weirdest thing ever.
