I met this guy and got an interview with him at MLG Columbus. Seems like a big announcement, so I thought I'd create a dedicated thread about it. See here for my other photos/interviews
Vodafone is basically the Verizon of Europe -- they're a huge cell company.
He said there wasn't a dedicated twitter for their new plan/etc, but people could follow his personal twitter for now (which he'll use to update): http://twitter.com/alexis_susset
I'll see if I can get him to post in this thread as well.
UPDATE:
I talked to Alexis further after I got home, and it appears that I may not have fully understood what he was trying to communicate. It seems that Vodafone lets their employees propose ideas to their marketing department or something like that, and Alexis is preparing a business plan to present to his management.
This is cool to hear! Anyone know which are these 67 countries he is telling about? I hope Poland will be included since we can't compete in GeForce Starcraft II Pro/Am Tournament
Is there another source confirming this? I mean Vodafone is huge and well known in Europe, but if they put up something big like this I don't understand why some random guy on MLG is the first to tell the world...
Vodafone sounds like extremely big money. I'm sure they can dwarf NASL in prize money if they want to. I hope they will pull through with the idea and make a well organized league.
