Yes turbo core will still function properly and raise the clock speed of the active cores. You can adjust the maximum multiplier.
For overclocking the 1090T you should leave turbo core on and simply raise the max multiplier(instead of raising both the base and max multi) to keep temps down except for the occasion that 6 cores are actually needed. Turbo core will also add 0.15v when it kicks in, so be mindful when you adjust voltages.

| Is there such thing as a high speed ethernet cable that makes a big difference? I am switching to LAN but I only have extremely old but functional ethernet cables from like 2005. I use 12 MBPS internet from Charter as of right now. |

HDDs are significantly slower than SSDs making SSDs the future of storage and better at everything (except gb per dollar).

The external enclosure should have SATA power and data. It's not called an external enclosure for no reason =\
The jumper isn't a connection fyi, it's a setting which doesn't need to be altered on SATA drives unless it's some legacy HDD that doesn't work on SATA 6Gbps. |

| Well either you're not inserting the HDD in correctly or it's a poor quality enclosure. You can purchase a SATA data and power cable but that defeats the whole purpose of having an enclosure. |
