Will be facing Alive tomorrow in the winner quarterfinals.

Gonna be hard. aLive is a serious contender at the best TvT player in the world at the moment. Last time they match up, during a KSL or Korean weekly, I don't remember, aLive took the serie 3-2 with some crazy 1 bases builds or mech play.
Only when they both played marinetank that Polt's decision making put him ahead.

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.

Had a 1-0 lead against Alive in a nice tank-bio vs. mech game, but then lost a quick base trade into a long, crazy game where over extending after doing a perfect doom drop was able to give Alive the gigantic tank lead. Then had a 1-0 lead against MMA, but then lost the second game where he had the lead before trying to counter attack, giving up map control, and running into siege tanks. Then in game three played sloppy, made it close, but couldn't beat MMA's superior positioning. He had some nice moves, but he lost too many tanks due to over extending and trying to do too many things at once.

Finished 7/8th, but could have beaten Alive and MMA. Hopefully he isn't too jet lagged for GSL.

Seventh place is good place. He wasn't even invited, he had to go through the online qualifiers. Losing in close series to two top 5 TvT players reflects well on his expertise in the matchup.

Yeah, it's a good place, but he really could have gotten top four or even won it if he played his TvT's like he did the first game against Alive. He played pretty much perfect TvT there and then played somewhat sloppy in his final games. Still looks promising going into Code S.

I am still a bit heartbroken that we were denied Polt vs MKP bio battles

Overall I was impressed as usual this weekend and can't wait to see him in code S. Although I'm wondering if he's participating in too many tournaments and not getting enough practice right now.

In personal opinion, I was mindblown at Polt's insane comeback plays. He fought really valiantly c:
Every game was really intense. I don't think it's that Polt is sloppy in any of his games Fionn. I think Polt likes to commit to his strategies (which explains his commitment to cloaked banshees even after MMA set up ridic defenses for it and his use of bio/tank play) He tried his best at holding off and came out as the victor in a lot of skirmishes, especially in those games against aLive. I think he has a reason for doing everything he does, until he reaches that point of no turning back. It's a very entertaining, yet intense style of play.
