I quite like the layout and stuff. Its much much cleaner and less cluttered then Facebook's i find. Also the circles thing is interesting.

Thanks for the invite guys.
After playing around with it a little I'm not really liking it. The concept is good, but it's too cluttered and I still feel like I'm in a web of people. You can make groups in Facebook too, so if they go for the same approach as Facebook I don't really get the added value.
You can count on Google to abuse your info aswell. So what do you gain exactly by using this over Facebook?
And I used a fake name for google+, now all of the sudden this fake name also shows when I use Gmail. Stuff like that makes me nervous.Last edit: 2011-07-01 09:10:03 |

personaly i feel that google+ tryes to make everyone decide to who you want to share your stuff.
on facebook your either a friend that gets to see everything or your not a friend. thats not how it works in real life. you got social circles. you got close friends, people from work, your relatives and so on. and just like in real life you want to decide to what circle you share your stuff with.
this can be done in facebook but its not built that way. your supposed to have either friends or not friends.
i really hope people will start using google+ so that i can get some more content to mess around with |

cluttered? Abuse info compared to facebook? You can control all of your information if you just go to privacy settings and your google account information. |

This seems interesting. I think that I'll stick to Facebook for now though since all my friends are using it, but who knows. Maybe they'll find out about Google+ and switch over. I'll keep an account anyway.

yes that would "work". but they will also have to share their info with you or the public if you want to see their posts.
for example i added djwheat to my "follow" circle. my "follow" circle is people that i dont know but i like to read what they are up to and stuff. when djwheat posts something and decide to post it to the "public" circle i will see this post.

I do not understand why everyone seems to be filling their pants with joy at the prospect of a new social networking site that provides 0 major benefits over its major competitor(s). The circle thing? Thats called a group. Facebook has that already and im sure they arnt the only ones. Further you can actually already restrict the amount of your profile content that individuals or "groups" can see on facebook too. So circles?? Please spare me. Its as bad as when apple decided that video calls were going to be called "FaceTime" and everyone ate it up like it was something they'd never heard of it.
Why would I want to go through the hastle of moving all of my information to another location, and further dropping it into the greedy little paws of yet another big company? I couldnt even hope to get the years of content and memories that I have stored up on facebook onto another platform even if I wanted to.
Oh also, if you get annoyed at people spamming certain applications on facebook you can just press "hide".. you can even do that with annoying people if you so choose,.
