Anyone can talk to anyone in whatever way they wish.

just don't talk about the game in the primary mafia irc channel to avoid discussing it around people who don't want to be part of the discussion.

Note you may not do things anonymously. Each person while communicating with anyone must know who that person is they are talking to. So no anonymous chat rooms or fake names on irc (unless everyone in said room knows who each and every person is).

I am very active in PM land, my preferred way of communicating is through IRC

you can also add me on skype, palmargard

or just use the pm system here on TL, but it's less fluid.

If you roll a townie and aren't comfortable fishing for information/trapping, you could just find someone who appears town and chat with him, exchanging analysis and thoughts. Just don't be overly trusting.

You don't necessarily have to play the PM game at all, but the thread will be a bit less active than in a regular game.

Oh, I see that I made it onto the player list anyway. That's fine though since the game starts on saturday or sunday. Setup seems to be a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing!

My advice would be to be prudent, not lie and never claim. Play solid but don't aim to be a hero, you will end up dead or screwing up your team if you over-do it. Keep in mind too that ""fishing info " is often more valuable for the mafia.

The trolling a little bit, the lying stayed off my death. They were going to kill me so I had to come up with a claim and lie about a bunch of shit to get them to kill YM. YM flipped town while playing like shit the entire game. Once I accused YM, I had no choice but to keep pushing him or I would die. He flipped town and mataza felt like that confirmed I was scum. So my lying and mataza refusing to ever back down led to my death which GGed the town.
