Foreigners get a free ride into Code A, by avoiding Code B, the hardest Sc2 tournament. And Koreans earn it by being better than everyone else. |

Won't be a problem if the finals are in Anaheim.
I'm not sure if you're trolling or being serious...
Yeah I'm pretty sure Tastosis and whichever players' teams make code S finals won't be attending MLG. I really wanted Nestea not MVP to play this time round. Oh well. |

Sorry to burst your bubble but MLG is a PRO event. If they want to be taken seriously they have to let any player in the world compete. What should they say? "OH YOU ARE TO GOOD YOU CAn'T PLAY IN OUR TOURNAMENT".

Why? They're the best players and they deserve to be there. If our foreigners aren't as good as the Koreans then I wouldn't care if MLG was just GSL in America with nothing but Koreans, because I like watching the best players play against each other. |

Based off skill level, there are no non-Koreans that deserve a free ride into code S, lol. Based off skill level, there are boatloads of Koreans that deserve a free ride to MLG and any non-Korean tournament, tbh.
In any event, it's not a "free ride" anyway so don't be so debbie-downer about it. GSL-MLG have a partnership. The Korean players that aren't part of the 4 must go through open bracket play just like anyone else... So what's your problem, exactly? |

:/ Nice job completely misunderstanding his argument.
Well actually, despite all that he said about Koreans in Foreign Tournaments being bad for Esports and all that good jazz, at the end of the day his real concern is the money, as is everyone who is actively participating in these tournaments. Because in reality if you watch which tournaments bring in the most viewers are the ones with the best players, and right now its the Koreans.Hosts see that Koreans bring in viewers and viewers equal MONEY. If foreigners like Catz want big prize pools their gonna have to do what the Koreans do, if not, there are plenty of amateur tournaments out there they can play in, with other players who don't want to put their full effort into SC2. |

Just a month or two ago people were all going "the difference isn't that big between koreans and non koreans".
Now it's just QQ all the way. Go figure.
FYI. There are 4 koreans getting invites. The other 3 gets the same equal opportunity as every other pro in the open brackets.
What should MLG do about those 3? Tell them no because they are too good? Please bring a solution instead of whining.
I can tell you what the solution is, the non-koreans need to step up their game. This is isn't kindergarden where everyone is supposed to have "fun". This is pro meaning $$ or gtfo.
This is their job not hobby anymore. And if you want to be taken seriously you don't run a business excluding people because they got too good at their game. What kind of a business is that? |
