I love it how people oversimplify things. I'm not going to take a position on EG's transfer policy but it is not just about growth, it is about stable growth - because otherwise you end up with a boom'n'bust cycle, which leads to a crisis. There is a reason why all major sports team are billions in debt and there is widespread corruption in the governing bodies.
Think about it, pay some attention to what acutally is happening in contemporary sports and read some history.

You can't really hate EG on the situation since it was stated Huk's contract was expiring and there wasn't a new deal in place. I just don't understand how TL could not come up with the money considering they have the most visited SC2 website out there. Maybe they should start looking for more sponsorship because TL should be out earning EG with ease...

I understand what you mean, but you need to realize that EG has roots in more than just Starcraft II. They're one of the most well-known eSports teams.

It'd be great if EG picked up a few more capable players or formed some sort of partnership with a Korean clan to participate in the GSTL. I love this move, sucks for TL but I was a fan of EG before, and this is icing on the cake.

Just watched an interview with moonglade from IEM. He said after leaving FXO he's not quitting sc2 and is willing to talk to other teams. I would really love to see him get picked up by EG. He's a really amazing player!!
