This basically means that FXO just gained sC, one of the top 10 players in the world.
Edit: one of the youngest as well.

| This is incredibly advantageous for FXO. They can now train effectively in multiple parts of the world, and even fly players places for special training. Congrats guys, and GL! |

I'm 100% confident in that FXOBoss, Unstable and Wolf all had extremely grounded and realistic expectations for the GSTL. They did not go their expecting to win, or even perhaps place mid-table. Ultimately, FXO had two goals in entering the GSTL. First and foremost, giving their players the opportunity to play and practice in the most conducive atmosphere to improve anywhere on the planet; Korea. I'm sure FXO management and people close to the team can tell you that the team has gone up several notches in skill level since they arrived in Korea. One cannot deny the fact they have plunged headfirst into the Korean teamhouse model is not only admirable but also a sure fire way of vastly upping each players skills. Undoubtedly they underestimated the effect that playing in the Mok-Dong studios, inside the famous GSL booths would have. Anyone who has watched FXO's games in the GSTL can clearly see the presence of serious nerves in nearly every game.
Secondly, FXO's main objective is to introduce their brand to the Esports audience. Is there anyone who vaguely follows SC2 proscene that doesn't know about FXO now? Their KOTHs, mansion in KL, regular invitationals (<3 FXOPENIS), QXC/Sheth signings.....and to add to that the GSTL. The first ever foreigner team to compete in a Korean teamleague, an extremely ambitious and daring move one which will become part of Esports history, a mark in the development of non-Korean Esports. With the merger of FXO and fou, FXO can make a definitive mark in the Korean landscape.
FXO is now poised as a company that can act as a conduit through which western advertising dollars can flow into the Korean scene. FXO have proved themselves to some very big name sponsors in their professionalism and ability to put together an excellent product (the aforementioned KoTHs, Invitationals). They can now make great contacts within Korea and direct companies in successful partnerships. This is a bit of speculation on my part but I can see this pretty close to what is actually happening.

Haha brilliant, best response in this thread <3
But seriously, FxOBoss has obviously made a lot of money else where and its good that hes funneling it into these ventures. If anyone can make money out of sc2, its him.
Oh it all makes sense now! He runs a Forex trading company. /facepalm

| HOLY SHIT. Not too surprised by this since FXO have good relations with choya and I guess the rest of fOu. Since FXO has 3 Koreans on their team, they can translate and bond the 2 teams together nicely. |

Okay, we have another EG Master's Cup situation don't we?
So is Fou going to complete this season of the GSTL as Fou or as FXO, if Fou goes on and FXO doesn't, will Fou have access to the current FXO roster? Or are rosters locked for the current season? Sorry if this has been answered prior but it's not in the OP(other than the uniform change).
I'm not gonna lie, it really feels like FXO is the Yankees, I just can't get behind FXO this way. Sure they may start dominating team leagues with access to such a huge talented roster and all that, but all that we really see is a team buying players as other teams build them up, and then buying a whole roster of talented players. I'm most likely jumping the gun here, but for now FXO sort of dropped quite a bit on the "Teams I root for" scale. |
