Imagine if a young tennis prodigy entered his first big tournament only to get beaten early on by a Roger Federer only using his left hand to swing - humiliation and nothing else. Just so unnecessary.
And thats you and your opinion, which I find ridiculous. That you even think of it this way is beyond me, and I sincerely doubt you have seen or heard Sase in games or interviews before.
No I haven't seen any interviews with Sase before, and why should I have to? Judging from his behavior only, this is what I extracted from it. Newcomers who hadn't heard of Sase prior to this tournament or just don't know much about him would possibly get the same impression, and leave them sour on him. Not really good for the fanbase if you ask me. |

This kind of douchey judgemental asshattery is what I was talking about in my last post. Some people really need to get a life of their own so they dont spend their time assigning intent to actions when they have no fucking clue what actually happened.Last edit: 2012-04-22 19:52:42 |

| Just been watching some Dreamhack VODS from yesterday. Sase's 'excuse' for the way he played is unacceptable. It was pretty disgusting and gj on dApollo and Wolf calling this behaviour out. Yes its not a huge deal but still shows his immaturity and I hope he grows up fast. |

I agree. When I was at the event and watched this live behind SaSe, this didn't seem big at all. People standing beside me were enjoying the game. It was fun, even though it went a little overboard. It was overkill, but who didn't see SaSe winning the game already? About bullying, NajzMajs seemed fine afterwards. He stayed around in public, if he wasn't comfortable I think he would have gone somewhere with his dad (I think he was there? But I might be mixing him up with another kid..). That so many people were upset was a shock for me. Watching the VOD the next day I found it awful. The casters were just talking about how bad SaSe was, but anyone following SaSe knows he doesn't mean any harm, unless people do it towards him. I'm so disappointed in all the people so quickly turning against SaSe with no background. SaSe has manner. Also quick to apologize to NajzMajs IRL.
This matter is bull-. Go rage that a Korean didn't win instead. |

I don't really think that's a good analogy. It would've been good if Sase beat the kid using his left instead of right hand holding the mouse. I agree that would've been unnecessary showboating. A better tennis analogy would be if Federer won using some unorthodox play, like using more lobs and drop shots than optimal, maybe hitting some ball behind his back. I wouldn't have a problem about that. Sase saying he'll apologize, just in case the kid didn't take it the way it was intended, is really nice though and should certainly put an end to all this "controversy" imo. |

Sign me up. SaSe is a fun guy. Keep working hard SaSe!
I want to share my kid vs older person in game story: I recall a time I played scrabble with a pretty bright 12 year old; I knew that if I lost I would look like an idiot, and if I won I would look like an asshole. My biggest regret was that I couldn't put down swear words on the board (gj SaSe you were able to put down I dunno, ****, on the board ;D) Also I find that SaSe is honorable enough to pull this stuff in person. I know all other sc2 players (hell any damn online game) do this silly stuff Online all the time, all of a sudden you happen to know "who" it was, there is a face and all of a sudden it is a mean and bad? Maybe this could be a lesson for everyone not to be mean online, but I doubt it. |
