Hey guys, I've coordinated with Tristan from eSports Canada in hopes to work together regarding the growth of the StarCraft scene in the Okanagan. For starters, we've made a facebook group as well as a twitter that I will update regarding news of barcrafts, tournaments, and other starcraft related events here in the Okanagan:

By working with and being a part of eSports Canada, we hope to increase awareness of the Starcraft scene in the area, gain valuable expertise and experience from other areas, and ultimately raise funding, provide prizes, and much more for local tournaments and events! What we need is your support to do so though; help us grow and achieve great things for the Okanagan!

I'm sure most of you don't know the Okanagan, but I've had a hard time located SC2 and/or BW players in the region to get to know, so I was hoping this could act as a source of meeting nearby players.
If we can get even a couple people who are in the area to give a shout, maybe we can start hosting LANs and meetups to watch the finals of tournaments and all that jazz. There's no hobby I love more than StarCraft, and I know there are others out there who share the passion.
I already know a couple people in the region; I won't post their ID for the sake of privacy, but if you guys see then come post so I don't look like a loner ;_;. My older brother is also pretty attached to the game, so we have a start.
Bronze, Masters, Young, Old, it doesn't matter. If you're from anywhere in the Okanagan (or willing to come down here for stuff) let us know!

I live in Kamloops, technically in the Nicola Valley but not all that far away. I'm not sure if I'd realistically be able to come to a meet up but I would certainly like to. If anything gets arranged for an OSL/MSL final I will try and come somehow.

Don't really follow BW, I follow SC2 decently, and trying to slowly inch back into 1v1 form.

I'm in Kamloops every so often ZeroChrome, since my dad and step-mom live there. I'm going there this weekend actually hehe. I'm usually busy with family up there, but if I ever find spare time I'll give you a shout. I might try hosting an OSL/MSL final or something at my place in Kelowna, and if I do I'll make sure to send a message and post here.

Kelowna fan here, MLG watching and http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/ are cool and I would participate in a SC2 tourney if PCBang would host it. If you can find a place in Kelowna to host a Barcraft I will drag out people to make it a success. I know three other SC2 players here in town and will tell them anything you tell me.
