No they are not better. Go re-watch the Arsenal-Barcelona match. There is no other teenager in the world that could have done what Wilshere did that night, against the best midfield in the world. You're seriously overrating the Barcelona youngsters based on a few cup games and matches against bottom table teams. At least Wilshere has been a consistent starter so we can make a fair judgement about him.
He played a good game, by that logic the guy who scored 2 against Barca last night is now a Godly forward. He was a consistent starter in a team performing poorly. Heck its still performing poorly. These guys are contributing, it doesnt matter wether its bottom of the table (which it really isnt actually ? Do you even follow spanish football ?) Thiago I rate already above Wilshere playing roughly the same position at the moment. Theyve been getting pretty good time and theyve got the stats to show for it. The contributions are very telling go check them out. And please no more BS about how La liga is sub standard and what not, wether its shit teams or this teams or that teams. Arsenal have trouble beating anything really. Its no different to England. The likes of Tello and Cuenca are wingers and frankly serve a different purpose to what Wilshere does/did and more importantly they score goals. Hence the "in some ways". Wilshere dont get to many of those. Hell intangibles aside just look at the raw stats. Im not going to look them up for you but feel free to be surprised. Granted hes been injured all season and injury is unfortunate but thats not anyone elses problem really you cant feel sorry for to long about people getting injured its part and parcel of how your rated. If you arent fit to play then you are no good and your value as a player drops end of discussion. What you "did" is like saying Torres is a great forward because he scored lots of goals for liverpool. Unless it led to winning something, its not even a laurel let alone something worth resting on. The worst thing that couldve happened to him was the how much he had to play at his age in a breakthrough season and then after, its just not smart and it shows everytime Arsenal get a kid hobbling of over the years. Why you think Wengers so careful with Miyachi and Ox now. Sorry but any barca lineup with regular starters + Cuenca, Tello and Thiago on current form would thrash any Arsenal team with 3 Wilsheres (even at his best). And feel free to cut an Iniesta or Fabregas here or a Pedro there. Maybe theyll be found out if they play more, but not at the moment they are punching well above their supposed weight in a star studded team.
They must be on amazing form to lose to Osasuna yesterday.

I'd say it's pretty accurate what guardiola said about jack wilshere. Don't get me wrong, i love jack wilshere but it's probably not that far off that there are barcelona players on the reserve squads that are around his same skill level. tello, cuenca, thiago quickly come to mind.

There's a rumor about Hazard going to Totthenam, i think it's the good choice for him if he does so, Totthenam squad isn't stacked like Mancity's or ManU's or Madrid or Barca etc... ones, so ha is guarented to play, and With Modric, Bale and Hazard that would be one of the scariest midfield on earth seriously
Now we can imagine Bale and Modric will quit totthenam next season, in that case i'd prefer him to go to chelsea/arsenal (the one wich get the spot for c1), those teams aren't that stacked and they are mor likely to play C1 in the next years. |
