Korean Drama Discussion

I just recently "finished" watching Coffee Prince, my first K-drama. I put that word in quotes 'cause I skipped two eps in the middle (after the big "reveal"). I couldn't handle the "omg you betrayed me" and the "omg he hates me now", etc. Too much crying. The show was like ... so cute it gave me diabetes and sometimes made me want to vomit.

Anyways, can anyone rec me a series without a.) romance, b.) terminal illness, and c.) a plot that could be solved by the characters just deciding to communicate? (Added bonuses: good acting, understandable ending, a show that doesn't take itself super-seriously.)

Sorry to disappoint you, but there's going to be at least a little romance in almost every K-drama. That being said, I will always recommend Rooftop Prince without hesitation, and it seems to be pretty much what you're looking for.

Unrelated, I might actually end up watching To the Beautiful You. Never read Hana Kimi, but I just can't resist Sulli even if she's pretending to be a boy.

Not sure what the point of watching korean dramas is if you aren't into romance at least a bit.. I would recommend something like Joseon x-files (great acting, no romance, funny) but it doesn't exactly have an understandable ending.. intentionally.

Almost every korean drama has some aspect of romance, even those that are revenge/thriller types like Story of a Man or detective serials like Special Affairs Team 10.

Just finished Take care of the young lady, pretty good. i like those "bitch character" turns good...dont ask me why, doesnt even matter if its male or female, that or tomboy and the drama is good :3

Yea i know, watched everything except pasta / 1% of anything, both didnt sound so promising, gonna take a look

Watching "Coffee Prince", there is so much emotion, really, episode 10, but this one is awesome, also watched "Boys Over Flowers" and "City Hunter", I also watched Japanese dramas, have you guys watched some?

AHHH i thought i waited long enough too watch AGD without having to wait for episodes but i caught up and am all sad now want to finish it its so fucking adoreable cant wait too see how eveyrthing turns out !!! by any chance does anybody know what days AGD airs ?
