Well there were ponies younger than Scoots flying in the second half of the series premier, weren't there? It's possible that there are developmental differences between male and female pegasi, and Dash was an exception.
Alternatively, Scootaloo has some sort of learning disability or physical disability that prevents her from being able to fly. Even Fluttershy was able to fly. (although weakly)
There are some people on Reddit theorizing that the entire thing was a dream. Pinkie put them to sleep, passed out from exhaustion, woke up, saw they were still sleeping, and she thought the entire thing was real.
Happy 400 pages everypony! Took a while to get here in comparison to the previous hundred milestones since IRC has considerably slowed down the growth of this thread. Oh well.

from 200 to 300 took a lot less. The time it took to reach 300 was the amount it took to reach 375, and then more than 2 weeks for the last 25 pages. Not a very good sign for this thread's further growth. :/
Today, after reading 399 pages of pony and countless amounts of time lurking on teamliquid, I finally made an account - if only to be part of the 400th page of my favorite thread.
My first interaction with ponies was Ponycraft 2 which, while interesting, was not how I found myself loving this show and this community so much. Later on, I was reading some articles, one of which involved bronies. I noticed it was spreading around, but I never paid too much attention to it. However, upon reading the comments, I read that team liquid had a thread. That piqued my curiosity, leading to me finding the Mare-a-thon II trailer. I was showing it to my brother for a laugh, when I suddenly saw Day[9] at the end. Further search on YouTube led me to Operation Flutter[9] (which was awesome by the way). This was about the time I started watching episodes. In the beginning, I was mostly lead by the irony of watching My Little Pony, but like most everyone else in this thread, I began to start liking it after several episodes. The one that did it for me was either Fall Weather Friends or Winter Wrap Up, probably the latter because I always liked Disney-esque songs. Then the next milestone - the Sonic Rainboom. RD was easily my favorite pony, so I decided to watch an extra episode long after I was supposed to go to sleep. Simply put, it blew me away. And the rest is history.
I also don't know how I completely missed this thread, but I'm definitely glad that I found it.
On an unrelated note, when I got home after finishing my exam yesterday, I was literally jumping around my house like Twilight in Cutie Mark Chronicles.
So, I guess that means you can add me to the list of fans. Hope to see you all more!

I believe a large part of the reason there aren't quite as many post is because a lot of people are using the IRC now, and instead of posting their stuff or discussing things in the thread, they do it in the IRC. Before, if you wanted to say anything or show off anything you would put it on the thread, now you can put it in IRC and plenty will see it. Also the 3 week break from episodes and holidays probably didn't help. The TL brony community is still growing, it's just shifted a bit.

Very awesome! :D Hope to see you around too, make sure you come visit the IRC channel at #tlponies sometime! Also, your conversion story is much better than mine...
1) Find this thread, wonder why MLP is on TL at all. 2) Decide to watch the show to see what the hype is about. 3) Fall in love.
