I have no idea what I am doing during the summer...like no idea. I'm already consuming a massive amount of pony content so I don't think anything is gonna change.
I might do artist spotlights or something. I have deviant art pretty much on auto-pilot now, the pony OC compilations really doesn't take a lot of extra time to organize. For great pony drought, I'll probably watch season 1 and 2, and catch up on some other shows (Legend of Korra and Doctor Who for starters).
For shipping, I kinda like AppleDash, but I think a lot of Twilight ships are cute too. I'm also partial to M/F ships just because they seem more canonical.
Don't read fanfics, and don't generally keep up with different artists. I'm not artistically inclined myself, so I don't consider myself a good judge of it.
Gonna have to go with Frek and say Destiny is a closet brony.

In general: Get started on one of my own fanfiction ideas, read through some of the more famous fan-fics of the genre (Fallout Equestria, Antipodes, etc etc.) Also, as it so happens, the third episode of Korra comes out the same day the season finale comes out for season 2. So I guess I will be being a Korra nut while trying to convert #tlponies into #tlavatar.
In shipping: Rarijack. Sophisticated Lady meet Rough country mare. That or Rarity x Fancy Pants. The were made for each other. I mean come on, they speak with fancy accents, love fancy things, are very similar color schemes and they get along soooo well. How can you NOT ship them?
In fanfic: Garyoak's Repercussions. Because I'm reading a lot of it lately.
In general I do not like most of the fanfiction produced by this fandom, simply because the majority of it is just bad. Don't get me wrong, the fandom is unique in its ability to create some relatively high quality material (I've read my fair share of idiotic kpop fanfiction). But it just generally annoys me when bronies on the internet (not specifically you guys) laud a certain fanfic as an example of stellar writing. Then again, I'm the guy who actually enjoyed reading all the "classics" assigned during English classes, so I could be just expecting to0 much. In art: Best up and coming artist?
