how could you forget MadFroG, the greatest undead ever! He was one of the only undead players to actually dominate at one point!
lol even though I love lucifer , Susiria is my favourite in that group, but yeah i am surprised that he mentioned philbot, yet not mention zacard, reign, madfrog....so many other good UD's that were better than philbot |

In a later post I mentioned Madfrog/Reign. I believe Zacard was Orc unless he played UD way earlier than i started observing the pro scene. I only mentioned Philbot cause he was one of the few pros AT THE TIME that went DK/Lich/Naga/Fiend/Stat/Destroyer EVERY GAME. i read somewhere philbot couldn't go to bwwi back in 2004 because his mother wouldn't let him (and some night elf called souljah went instead, took a game off wizard actually). is this true?

| souljah was NE and i still vividly remember him getting completely embarrassed by madfrog on gnoll wood. he wasnt even close to being the best war3 player in aus at the time let alone 2nd best. |

He just explained it on his stream when talking to some guy asking him questions (maybe an interview or something).
- Many spellcasters
- Units have more HP
- Units are stronger
Btw his English is extremely good when compared to other Koreans, he can actually communicate properly ^_^ |

his only seemingly domination was an allkill vs Hanbit Stars. His teamleague results were ok but never made to the knockout round of individual leagues. Dont get me wrong. MaD]Q[FroG was so cool (well every other UDs were lol) but hes not a top UD back in his Korean stay. GoStop, Lucifer,Fov,Susiria, JYoung, Zandarke (anyone remember him from GSL opens ?) were better, Sweet and ReiGn were above everyone else. Philbot was pretty amusing in wc3l but it's just because there was so few fiend players back then (GoStop was clearly better though) |

From what I've noticed from seeing multiple wc3 pros and some top azeroth/useast talent I'd say the majority is:
orc/ud = protoss
human = protoss/terran
night elf = zerg/terran |

Umm, Lucifer played, and dominated, way before Orcs were even relevant on the competitive scene. If anything its elves that Lucifer has given countless nightmares too. Not to mention he pretty much single handily made blizzard buff towers, so destroyer timing pushes werent absolutely devastating in all human play styles.
Luci was never dominant nor did he "dominate before Orcs were relevant", Orcs were already playing a mirror final @ WCG before Luci was big  Grubby started to own quite early, not to mention Zacard or Dayfly. He was just a really, really good Undead. The third best to be precise, behind FoV and Sweet.
Uhh what, pretty sure Lucifer absolutely DOMINATED UD vs NE for about 3 years, and was very, very strong vs human at the time as well. Just because he didnt win large scale international LANs, doesn't mean he wasnt incredibly focused, and a huge threat, especially to Korean and European elves, whom with Susiria they literally managed the UD vs NE meta game for years. Just because Zacard and Grubby were exceptional players, doesnt mean their race was super dominate at the time of WCG 2005. Plus its WCG grand finals, which means the lack of talent there was high due to it getting weeded out in the qualifiers, what a terrible example. Oh yea, you remember the DK NAGA LICH fiend strat thats used endlessly vs elves, guess who popularized that. Not to mention the garg style, of the garg style :D.
Lucifer won some ESWC, Blizzard tournaments. He's the most successful korean undead so far. Sweet maybe the closest one.
Others (FoV, GoStop, Susiria, Reign) didn't won anything significant. |
