Hi TL,
We are hosting a MLG Raleigh Barcraft in Charleston, SC. Anyone 18 or over are welcome. 
Where:
Mike's Home
4160 Perrine St., Charleston, SC Google Map
We have a HD projector, enough sofas and chairs for a small crowd.
When:
Friday, 8/26/11 5:00 PM - Games are done for the night.
Saturday, 8/27/11 11AM - Games are done for the night.
Sunday, 8/28/11 10AM - End of the event.
Why:
Just two guys try to spread SC2 as a sport. Mike was a bartender in college and has a small bar at his house and can mix some great drinks. So if you will be around the area for MLG Raleigh, drop by and watch a few games with us.
Cost:
Free.
What to bring:
- We encourage people to bring their favorite snacks and drinks, though it is not required. Bring some money if you are staying long, because we are probably going to pitch in to order pizza/food.
- Bring computers are fine, check with us first to see if we have space, because some other people are bringing computer to play a few games in between boardcast.
- If you have a ps3 arcade stick, bring it also. Mike got one and we could play some sf4 too.
Anyone has foldable table that are easy to bring let us know! We got an extra foldable table, no need to bring any now.

Cool, thanks man. Probably a good idea, I was going to remove Mike's address after the event. I just don't want his address to be on the internet forever, lol.

We like to keep it 18 or over, because of possible legal issues... also, we won't give any one under 21 alcoholic drinks, there are non alcoholic drinks we can make. |

Well are you going to stay long? You have a PC or laptop? I'm going to bring my laptop, I guess we could play some games in between broadcast. |

Skream man it should be fun, i'm teaching a friend overseas about SC2 and the competitive scene and he even as a newbie about a lot of this is enjoying it.
Also Chess, two questions.
1. Will we be using teevox at all if they'res 2 games going on at once?
2. If no teevox, any player preferences? Being a big idra fan, I like to see as many of his matches as possible, but we all have our various favorite players. |

We'll probably have teevox on secondary monitor to keep tab on things. We have a HD projector, it will run the Red or Blue stream depending the game. Because I don't believe teevox supports HD pass/MLG membership stream. But using which player to watch the stream won't be a problem, if there's a better way to watch the stream, by all means suggest, we can talk it out. |

Makes sense, and yeah I dont think they corrected the 'double' HD stream with pass issue yet so teevox might not be the best way to go on the projector.
Everything sounds good though. You guys watch State of the Game at all? It's supposed to be on friday night right after the games live from MLG (so probably midnight or so) and there should be a pretty big announcement, so I wanted to watch that too.Last edit: 2011-08-25 12:54:28 |
