Hi, I'm not sure if people are aware of this style of wall in TvT. Surely not or else people would be using it!
The wall blocks hellions, but allows SCV's to pass through. see below:
Q: Why is this good? A: If you are doing an early pressure in TvT, BFH drops can demolish your entire mineral line whilst you have no army in your base. This is a solution to get your scv's out of the base so that you can either pull back to defend or go into a base-trade scenario.

Not sure how that would help. Or how it would not help either. A marine can probably pass through that too, if you are saying an scv can. It seems hellions are non-existant?

It seems like it'd be useful to "simcity" your base like that against hellion drops to remove the hassle of raising and lowering depots for scvs.

Oh! I was under the impression that a hellion blocking that sort of wall in would Still allow scvs or marines to shimmy through the corner gap I see how you relate this to a meta-game tvt. Perhaps you can format to allow passage on the north side of the ram, closer to the minerals? Or would a barracks at the corner be easy to pick off?

spreading your scvs while killing the helions would be more effective than lining up 20 scvs and hoping they make it up the ramp before all dieng to 2 bfh shots

not if you have a decent reaction time and its not a multi-pronged attack. Spreading SCVs isn't really worth it if you can kill the hellions anyways, you'll take less damage by letting them mine, if you really wanna take the time to perfectly spread them, go for it.

Yep i'm surprised more people don't do this, i do this all the time when i put stuff around my mineral lines xD much easier than lowering/raising depots, which isn't the easiest thing to do

It's a great thing to use, I'd myself though rather wall in my scv's with buildings walling between gas and cc and between gas and wall, when gas is on oppositie sides, and then with such an exit. So if they drop inside the wall in, I run out, if they are outside I stay in.
Problem though is that if you don't have something to kill the medivac they can either drop 2 of the hellions out, or all of them. Ie keep using the medivac, then there is really no escape. If you have a viking though, it can work insanely well.

Do this with your ALL mineral lines.
Ever since the BFH trend started, I began doing this. Haven't lost a single SCV to BFH drop so far if my wall was done properly.
BFH doesn't really need a nerf, people just need to learn how to do this holy crap.

It also lines them up for easier helion roasting, just saying.

Better to stop them all, hold F1 and right-click spam on screen. Why no one use it, I dont understand.

It's not too slow if you're fast at it. And how do they get clumped if you hit stop? They are just as spread out as before, just not mining any more.
