I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard.
Does anyone have experience with a Qpad MK-50? It's rather cheap and has red switches, which I think I'll want. |

Filcos are fantastic indeed. My friends prefer the Blackwidow Ultimate because they say the Filco looks so plain and boring for what you pay T_T
Fools don't know Filcos are like the understated and reliable keyboards of the mechanical world. |

The keyboard company is very respectable. Here is a link to their amazon store with ratings.
You should have no problems ordering thru keyboard company.

| Nice, now you just have to go through the wait of shipping. It will be worth it when you get that filco, such a nice board. Last edit: 2012-07-17 02:53:40 |

Hmm.. I really can't decide which switches to get.
The overclock.net guide distinguishes between good for gaming and good for typing. But doesn't gaming in this context mean: Hold down the key for an extended period of time. While typing means short keystrokes.
In SC2 you do mostly short keystrokes, so wouldn't a typing keyboard be better?
Correct me if I'm talking bullshit =) |

It's all up to your preference. I'm using blue switches for everything and I'm happy with it. I couldn't use linear switches. They're weird.Last edit: 2012-07-17 07:03:26 |

Geekhack was hacked, they are in the process of getting the site back up. There is a subforum over at deskthority for geekhack members here is the link where you can find info on group buys and site updates. |

Best choice in my opinion. If I hadn't watched Destiny's stream so much and fallen in love with how that keyboard sounds, I'd probably have gotten browns, too. |

Irony at it's finest right there. Does any well known player use a keybaord with topre keyswitches? And does anyone have experience with happy hacking keyboards? They look so slick :3 |
