NEW
Hello. I'm a mid master Protoss player in high school. Many StarCraft 2 players will be much busier now. I will be busy with school this year as well, due to a lot of homework and extracurricular activities.
The question is: How do we keep up with StarCraft and to maintain our skill so we can continue to play as well as we have been?
(I read the OP again and I facepalmed because it was just ridiculous as some of you pointed out. So I edited it.)

play on the weekends until senior year rolls around
|
I think you might just have to accept some atrophy in StarCraft.

Finish your homework as soon as you get it, and then play StarCraft II for the rest of your time. Don't do anything else, just school and SC2, and you'll have enough time.'
It's important to do your homework as soon as possible, or you'll have trouble balancing time between SC2 and homework without being able to work whole heartedly on either.

Heart of the Swarm will probably be out once the school year is over >:-D

I'm in university and find enough time to play starcraft ^^ When I think about it high school was all about drinking beer and playing video games xD

Grow some balls dude.
That's a pretty light course load. Maybe drop a few extracurriculars that you aren't really interested in?
|
if you're doing more than one club i would suggest you just focus on a single one that you're super passionate about and drop the rest, unless you're just a paper member for ECs on your app.
also there is no way calc homework should take hours unless you're paying zero attention in class.

The bottom line is: you can't. Everything in life requires an investment of time. Maintaining your current level of skill requires investigating a certain amount of time. If you don't have time to invest, you can't maintain your skill.
The most efficient way to maintain your skill is obviously to just play when you can -- if you are in Master league now, you will not fall further than Diamond even if you barely play.
Here's the real tricky part: make sure you don't prioritise Starcraft over school work. If you neglect Starcraft, the worst thing that can happen is you spend a few months later on catching up. However, neglecting your education will most likely have a snowball effect and make life harder for you, especially if you choose to pursue higher education.
We all love Starcraft, but don't close doors on yourself when you are only in high school.
HAVING SAID ALL THAT, I'm not sure what high school is like in the US, but you probably don't need to do too much to have good results? Make sure your grades are sufficient for whatever University you want to get into -- you'll probably still have plenty of time to play once things settle down?

Never heard of AP language and arts. Bio and World are easy, but sometimes have a fair bit of reading. For math, you need to pay attention in class and do the homework. You definitely have time to starcraft with only 4 APs, but concentrate on studies first, and play as a break, or on weekends.

Depends on how busy you are willing to be. I went throught the swedish equivalent of high school, having straight A's in the toughest course program (we have a system where you select a so called program which includes a certain amount of set courses), had a girlfriend, played in a rock band and competed at top level in road racing (cycling). My schedule was basically school 8am-4pm, cycle training 5pm-8pm, meet with gf a couple of hours in the evening and then homework to midnight. Weekends consisted of training and going to competitions. Band practice on rest days. If I wanted to do anything other than that, it had to be planned well beforehand. So it is definitely possible, but you have to be able to plan and willing to sacrifice being able to spend an hour or two of lazily hanging around on the couch watching TV.
Glhf!

In high school > complain about school schedule.
Wait what? In a couple years, you'll learn what an actual school schedule is son.

rofl high school is fucking easy you'll be fine

Ha 4 courses is an extremely light load. BC Calculus isn't as hard as most people think as long as you just do your homework. Learn to manage your time now before university.
|
lol @ high school, you are going to be dead in the water if you go into uni with that attitude. Get your work done before anything else, work during your breaks in school, and enjoy 5+ hours and almost every weekend off.
edit: i never actually read your courses, I have no idea what junior is but saying I'm taking 4 ap courses then putting an ap infront of every course is like nails on a chalkboard for me :/ Also all of those courses are easy.
|
you are taking all those ap classes and can't figure out how to manage your own schedule?

QXC plays professionally whilst going to school full time at Harvey Mudd College. If he can do it, I think you'll be able to manage a high school schedule + StarCraft.
