| I like to use olive oil, hot sauce, and some seasonings to make my own "wing sauce" then cook the chicken in that, in a frying pan. Crock pot is probably easier though. |

(but if you cook them too much then you dont get anything either) she also said raw potato is poisonous (not that i would ever eat that anyway) i done a quick google and someone said poorly cooked aubogine/courgette is dangerous/poisonous, someone else said poorly cooked broccolli/colliflower will give you thyroid problems, someone else is saying you have to be a maniac to eat any sort of potato.......... geez........ tldr, i eat half-burnt/half-uncooked crunchy brocolli, colliflower + brussel sprouts very often. should i change this? (i fry veg quickly in a big frying pan with a bit of oil)

Whenever I work out now, I find myself running low on energy before my work out is even halfway done. What would you guys recommend 1 hour before heading off to exercise for energy? I will not use energy boosters (cause I find that after I run out, I can't do anything at all) and have limited access to protein shakes at the moment. So something homemade/organic, basically.
Sleep more....? Eliminate stress... possibly eat more if recovery is crap

Then eat like +500 kcals above maintenance per day
Quality foods is obviously better... but don't worry about macros except 1g/lbs of protein for the weight you WANT to be at. |

I'm having a hard time gaining darnit.
Mainly I get really full at meals, but then don't know what to eat in between. I'm doing 1/2 gomad, but even with that not really making much progress weight wise, even though lifts are definitely increasing. What are good high calorie sna cks... |

u gotta be careful about snacks coz they can mess with your proper meals :x
im having rice for the first time!!!! i boiled it in a pot and fried some tomatoes and mushrooms then mixed them together and added a steak (pre-cooked 10 steaks earlier and keep them in a box - cooked them at just 150, fan oven, and they are real good)
i dont really like the taste of fried tomatoes in this way, bit funny. the rice is not bad. the mushrooms a little overpowering with the funny tomato taste. will not fry tomatoes in the future.
edit: quitting smoking is not going well lol. 4-5 a day
edit: oh i guess that means pretty much all veg is not to be fried anymore for me. i will look up steamer/boiling instead :x still having scrambled eggs + corned beef for breakfast tho, very very goodLast edit: 2012-01-17 05:47:24 |

I ate only a slice of bread for the first time in a couple of months of doing paleo, and holy shit. I didn't realize how much bloated I felt pre-paleo since I was a bit more tolerant to insulin back then, and there wasn't really a way to compare a day with bread and another day w/o bread since I've been consistently packing processed foods into my body.
Never felt this shitty for a while. I constantly feel bloated, drowsy, and just lazy in general. No more processed foods for me. Ever.
Good thing my anger toward myself overrides this shitty feeling I've had for the past three hours. Gonna go even harder at the gym tonight. fking breadLast edit: 2012-01-21 08:54:04 |

I always find these perosnal reports really interesting. I haven't had bread in a couple of months but lately have been eating some again, and have not felt any negative effects at all. I had a big pizza lately, after which my stomach felt pretty horrible, though that may just be because the portion was way too big. |

Nah, you can just eat at maintenance and lift at maintenance.
It takes like maybe 1/3 of the work to maintain rather than keep gaining muscle and whatnotLast edit: 2012-01-22 00:17:30 |

Try eating grains/muslí if you've been off for it a while. medium to large amounts will straight out give you diarré lol. |
