Fish, eggs, chicken, pork.
Oh, and the ever-popular "gallons of milk". That one takes some extra special preparation |

pork = steak? chicken = chicken wings ? What kind of fish? I don't think I can eat meat every day, are there also other foods I can eat which are not meat? Do you think pasta is good? It's also easy too make and cheap, so it would be suited..
Thanks for your input so far |

If your goal simply is gaining weight you can basically eat anything - as long as you are eating a lot. There is nothing technical about it.
The much quoted gallon of milk is just an easy way for most people to introduce extra calories throughout the day. |

Uhh, traditionally, steak is beef, which comes from a cow, while pork comes from a pig, which is not a cow, so no, pork is not steak. Chicken, whatever parts you traditionally eat off of a chicken are fine. Fish, generally pick based on flavor or price if you don't have any specific reasons not to eat certain types.
And like Zatic said, calories in general are good. |

Pasta is no good, useless carbs, rice is better. If you want good price to nutrients/protein ratio nuts are a pretty good choice. |

Okay, thanks
Nuts sound like good snack as well. I like basmati rice, I think I could manage myself to eat a lot of it. I don't know where to get pork other than a chinese restaurant ^^
We eat chicken breast in salad, while I belive it's healthy I don't think I ll gain whight by eating it ^-^
From what I understood gaining weight is the key to building muscles, so while I get some training routin, it's basicly my first step to gain weight.
Anyway, thanks for breaking it down for me. It's really not as complicated as I expected Last edit: 2012-06-28 00:22:53 |

chicken is pretty low on calories though whilst filling your stomach up quite fast. so if you want to consume a lot of calories it may not be your best bet. |

I've being making for myself this tuna-green pepper-onion-olive oil-lemon juice salad for dinner. My objective is to lose this annoying fat pillow around my waist. So is it healthy and how much should I eat, till I'm full or less? |

Eliminate refined carbohydrates and all liquid calories.
Eat 'til you are satisfied -- not 'til you are full. Eat slow so you fill up faster. |
