| Where does your hand normally rest during gameplay? Apart from non-combat hotkeys for inventory, spell tab, character screen etc., which keys are used during combat? 1-5 and the mouse is all? Whereas in Diablo2, I used F1-F8 for skill switching, Ctrl to run, Alt to see items, Shift to attack while standing, 1-4 for potions, and perhaps the switch weapons button. Are there really much fewer keys required to play? |

| you dont need alt anymore cause theres an option to display item names permanently. shift is still used to attck while standing. thats about all you need. 1-5 + shift +mouse buttons. |

The only difference is that you don't need a full belt of potions and skills are 1-6 instead of on f keys. |

Do you obtain more experience in a party if you are the person who killed the monster or is it shared equally?
How much increase in exp is there depending on the number of people?

Does being able to respec without penalty lead to you constantly changing skills depending on the enemy?
Also, is there enough character customization even without attributes for HC characters? I mean, can all classes focus on survivability? |

somewhere on the new community site is the skill calculator, there are definitly skills and passives that are focused on survivability, not to talk about the item choice, so I think there will be customization towards survivability. |

From what I understand, yes it will. That's all the content they are willing to reveal prior to release. The beta is supposed to test the servers, hardware compatibility etc., not balance. |

You have 1-5 buttons, left click and right click mouse as skill slots so that's 7.
And you can hit "X" to switch your mouse right click to auto-attack(or maybe a skill, I'm not sure). |

He said he couldn't bind it to any of the 5 hotkeys, but could on the LMB or RMB, so I assume there are 7 binds total, 1-5, LMB and RMB. |

I assume you won't keep any experience or items, but will there be some special "beta participant item", even if it has no functionality (like those legendary boots)? I guess I'm wondering why people are playing the beta so extensively when it will all be wiped out as soon as the game comes out, no matter how amazing your drops are. |

| I doubt that there will be any sort of carryover from the beta. There wasn't anything to denote beta testers for Starcraft 2 so I doubt there will be something for Diablo. |

nothing will be carried over.. we play it so much cause its fun  though i must admit that it slowly starts to get boring^^ need another char wipe (its not possible to delete characters yourself in the beta) |

With SC2 it made sense because you want to start practicing mechanics asap because that head start could make a huge difference in your competitiveness, but I just wanted to see if there was a similar reason for D3. I agree that playing the beta would be fun, but I'm just trying to make myself feel better for when I don't get a key =) |
