Coming March 2012 to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max begins a new life working private security protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family in São Paulo, Brazil. When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long.
Really excited for this....Max Payne was the very first game with great action and graphics that I have ever played, I remember that I was blown away by the graphics. And the theme from the second game....just tears your heart to pieces, probably the saddening and most emotionally destructive theme ever...those violins rip out your soul and drag it to the deepest abyss of hell...
I hope this one is as melancholic and depressing as the previous ones, can't wait to preorder this.

MP 1+2 are two of my favourite games ever, they are just amazing.
But I don't have high hopes for the third, different devs and in the first pics Rockstar released Max looked exactly like the dude from GTA4, not like Max Payne
Maybe it surprises me =)

IIRC Max Payne looks a lot like one of the guys on jackass, right?

Max Payne 2 was outrageously good, one of the last shooters I've played with a very large amount of detail to the world. I think only HL2 surpassed it in that way.

Sam Lake, glorious writer of Max Payne 1+2, was the original model for Max.
Bumping an old thread - did anyone watch MLGs live tournament of this last night? Was actually brilliant, they had the lead multiplayer designer in for interviews in between games. Had all different pros from the different shooters featured on the MLG circuit in the past. Really hope they release VoDs, because it is definitely worth a watch. Multiplayer looks like it could be really fun.

Play them just because they are amazing games. Maybe MP1 is a bit outdated on the graphics but both the story and the gameplay is amazing.
I remember reading about Max Payne 1 in a gaming magazine that was flabergasted why you would ever need a Pentium III 1ghz processor to run the game properly. Good times
