| Does stargate ever work? Not trying to balance whine, just asking genuinely cause I don't think I ever seen it end in toss wins. Seems like it did so much damage, 5+ queens like 10 overlords dozens of lings, but it doesnt matter cause the zerg can just spam drones while the toss is busy having to micro a ton to do any damage and so zerg still pulls ahead in macro. He mostly killed queens and overlords. Which is nice... but I mean when you delay the colossus tech and the 3rd base that much you need to kill a bit more than queens and overlords |

| Naniwa fell behind in his macro :/ Lucky never lost any drones, queens yes, but he also had 4 hatcheries so losing the queens wasn't as big of a loss as it looked. |

No, it doesn't anymore. The reason is, zergs figured out they can just expand and they can lose like 10 queens and 20 overlords and still be ahead against it. |

Zerg was fully saturated on 3 bases with an extra macro hatch while naniwa was killing ovies and queens and nothing else. He traded poorly zealot for zergling wise, lost his 2 proxy pylons and didn't kill any drones.
Commentators are just poor and don't understand that Naniwa wasn't actually doing any significant damage. The zerg was doing minimal defense and droning like crazy. |
