Nice looking snatches! I think the problem lies in that the bar is maybe an inch or two too far from your body on the pull so it swings out a bit too much at heavier weights on the catch. Whats your bw at?
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?
Ohh thanks decaf. That is something I've been working on for a long while now, my coach tells me I have an issue with over emphasizing hip thrust so those two are actually not as bad as what I used to do. My bodyweight sits at around 69kg, I can't afford to eat enough to get heavier =[

I think your hip thrust is good, you finish all the way and are good getting under the bar so i don't think thats your problem. While you're form isn't perfect i think its definitely good enough where you'd see worthwhile gains out of spending some time on strength, heavy squats/pulls maybe?

Ahh yes thank you again, I don't think I'll ever describe my form with the word "perfect" and I'm okay with that. I like improvement more than I like being perfect. I am definitely seeing improvements each week so long as I don't slack on recovery. My clean and jerk has gone from 75 to 82.5 just today in a month and my snatch went from 60 to 67.5 in the same time.
As for squats and pulls, my coach has me squatting on Monday and Friday, pulling on Tuesday and Saturday, all of which are getting heavier each week so, just gotta keep working at it I guess.

My eye isnt good enough to see anything wrong, but usually the problem is not staying over the bar enough. Maybe wait a little longer before the 2nd pull.

Anyone have recommendations on weightlifting straps? Getting paid on friday and figured i might as well order some as i increase my frequency and weight and work in pulls. Or pumice stones/things for getting getting rid of calluses? I'll probably just use sandpaper lol.

Just to make sure, the second pull is from knee to hip right? I can never remember which is which. If that's the case, I gotta agree with you, but because of a knee injury since Thursday, I haven't been able to pull as hard as I normally do. I plan on calling a physiotherapist on Monday if the pain doesn't go away by then.
