Mmm... I don't know what to think of these games... I can't tell whether Taeja is just not playing well or whether Squirtle is just playing amazing.... Or whether Squirtle is just abusing 2 base timings ala MC...
EDIT: I actually think that Taeja's biggest problem is scouting right now.
Game 1: He scouted the Collosus timing late so he didn't have enough Vikings to deal with it (and he made a Ghost Academy which never came into play) and didn't scout the fact that it would be so stalker heavy which resulted in late bunkers and no SCV pull.
Game 2: He didn't scout the Twilight nor the extra 3 gates so he tried to guess another Collosus timing (made 2 Vikings). His factory scouted the push very late and barely held but not after losing half his workers.
I personally don't like Squirtle's style of PvT. It seems so 2 base gimmicky like MC, which I mean it seems to work so good for him. It doesn't make for very entertaining games though.
I think Taeja expected much more straight up/greedy macro not these 2 base pushes.Last edit: 2012-05-03 20:03:27 |

| I wonder how you can scout that? He even got a probe inside, and if you don't prepare for it you have lost. Game two when Squirtle walked into the base and half of his army, the zealot, didn't do anything, but because storm is so good there was no way to hold. It makes me wonder why the storm needs to be that good, since it is only going to force all Terrans to cheese since there is no other way to win. The quarter final proves that, but somehow Blizzard doesn't see it. |

Don't discuss balance here discuss it somewhere else... I feel bad but it's okay Taeja you have next season of Code S! PvT is actually a broken matchup... not because it's imbalanced, but because it's just messed up... There's no stability to the matchup. |

good game for him but some little mistakes that make him lose, especially the last game where he just let the probes go away
