Yellow: From the past experiences, I can only truly value my spot in MSL after surviving through all the qualifier leagues. Although Nada is now dropped into the Survivor League, it may not be all bad for him. Hopefully, he can appreciate this opportunity, to learn all the hardships before the starleague, and to contrive to qualify for the next MSL. This is my lesson to him – from a senior who learned the hard way.
Q: Before your come-back, you were 0-7 against Nada recently.
Yellow: I didn't even know. Nada is one of the best TvZ players out there, and I know this because we used to be on the same team and practised with each other. Furthermore, we know each other extremely well, and that just makes him much harder to defeat. I was 0-7 to him because I was scared of him. However, the important thing is, I end my losing streak against Nada and is now on a winning streak of 2-0, and I feel a little sorry for him.
Q: After losing the first match, it was disadvantageous for you.
Yellow: Survivor league was ahead, and I thought of Sync. When I was training with Sync, he told me to try my hardest to not fall into the Survivor League. My plan was actually to win the first match, but after losing it, I thought of Sync. *laugh*
Q: Your Zergling control was superb in your 2nd and 3rd game.
Yellow: Speed upgrade for Zerglings is primary. When I was playing on Luna, I had a feeling that Nada was going fast academy, so I produced a large quantity of Zerglings. And evidently, I made the right choice. The strategy used in our third match was similar.
Q: Who was your practice-partner?
Yellow: Like I said before, I practised mainly with Sync. Yesterday, my team went mountain climbing, so I didn't practise as much as I would have liked. However, the practice sessions with Sync were very productive and effective. Sync's style is similar to that of Nada, and he plays very carefully.
Q: In your past games, it seemed that your mid and late-games were weak.
Yellow: My past opponents knew exactly what I was doing, so they would try their hardest to keep the game running till late-games. This is Storm Zerg's weakness. I will try harder to perfect my style.
Q: Who do you want to meet in the Losers' semi-final?
Yellow: Of course Zeus, I shouldn’t have lost the game on Requiem. Zeus is an excellent player, but it depressed me a lot losing to his Hang-bang rush. I will follow through with the promise I made during the opening ceremonials. This is not about revenge; this is about pride and honour.
Q: Your goal?
Yellow: Recalling back to 2002 WCG, I lost to Boxer and fell into the losers' bracket. However, I still made it into the final by eliminating those who got eliminated by Boxer. It was arduous, but I did it. I will do it again, I will be in the MSL Final.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Probably because of the vicotry, you look happy today.
XellOs: I tried to accept my failure in the first round. It's painful. I'm happy because I don't make the same mistake again.
Q: You shouldn't have lost your second game.
XellOs: Before the game, I predicted that TheMarine might go 1 Fact and double CC, and I prepared a counter strategy. However, TheMarine defended himself too well - probably also because I wanted to win too badly, and was careless with my units.
Q: What about your strategy in your third game?
XellOs: Again, I predicted that he might fast expand, so I decided to play a macro game. Before attacking the middle, I scanned the area many times and dropped units with good timing.
Q: How do you feel about this winning streak since OSL?
XellOs: Nothing special, it's just the same.
Q: Your practise partners?
XellOs: Iris has his OSL to worry about so he couldn't practise with me and I couldn't find opponents on BN either. Luckily, Cloud practised with me since 1 AM today.
Q: You lost your practice partner since Midas moved to T1.
XellOs: This is only temporary; it will get better when we have some rookies on our team.
Q: You can no longer control your fate in OSL. (referring to the decisive game between stork and gf)
XellOs: Usually, I don't want to be dependent on others, but right now, it's not the time to be picky. I want to advance.
Q: Who do you like to play between Mingu and Reach? (in the same group in this msl)
XellOs: I want to play them both. Ever since Mingu defeated me, whenever we see each other on BN, he would always greet me. He's much more polite.
Q: Words to your fans.
XellOs: I still want to thank them, although I say this every single time. I will try to best to improve my game play.
