So does PuMa have a shot at an invitation? Seems like there's at least one open spot because of Mvp and Nestea taking the top 2 GSL points slot and theres a blizzcon champion invite.. So I'm thinking PuMa would at least be considered since he took 2nd at Dreamhack and 1st at the NASL.

The Blizzcon spot went to MMA who is 4th in GSL points. There is only one possibility for another free spot, that is, if MVP wins World Cyber Games 2011.
But even then, it has to be a player who is available on very short notice, because WCG ends very shortly before Blizzard Cup starts. Puma will be home from NASL by then, probably, but I think they'd still go with the next guy in GSL points or the WCG runner-up. |

Very disappointing to find out it's only Bo1 for group play. It will not be indicative in showing the best players out of group play. Map dependant as well.
However it will be interesting to see the build choices made by players in a Bo1. You can't really call it who will come out of group play in a Bo1, when all players in the list can take games off each other. |

| if MVP wins WCG, I propose a four man tournament between WCG 2nd place, Polt (5th in points), Jjakji (November winner) and Puma to decide the final slot. Air it before the first round of games or the day before. Ratings everywhere. |

how do you figure? Last spot is most likely going to be a terran and there are 3 high caliber protoss attending already.
Distribution will likely be 4 zerg, 3 toss, 3 terrans. Not bad at all. Also I don't understand how zerg is perceived to be the whine race anymore >.>. After going through the era of 1/1/1 and The Sad Zealot club whine and short bursts of terran bitching (waahhhh infestor/BL is too strong, waaahhhh the maps are too big, waaahhhhh protoss late game is too strong) I'd say everyone complains about the same.

Think the last spot will be either: Polt, MKP, Jjakji, or Supernova.
MKP/Supernova if they just take the 2nd place of WCG.
Polt if they continue to go by points.
Jjakji (recent champ) or MKP if Mr.Chae just wants to grab attention with an exciting player. |

I don't get this. If you have a boX that's tied and you have a deciding game, are you saying it's more likely that either player will all-in than in previous games? If anything it's less likely you see all-ins as in a bo3+ as you can still win even if you fail with an all-in while you don't have that luxurary in a bo1. Sure a bo1 is more volatile but I don't see how it has anything to do with all-ins.
