It took Kessel over 3 games against the Bruins to finally get a goal. Anyway, everyone knows about his streaks and how he plays in October. Should be interesting.
Clark is out again this time due to injury so Matt Frattin will join Kulie and Gabs on the 2nd line.
Anyway, the Leafs have more depth than they've had in years. Still very early, but I definitely see them being more in the playoff picture than previous years.
I was at the game last night and they played extremely sluggish for the first 45 minutes. It was total eye sore and they got lucky to even get a point, but it turns out that's how they've been playing the first five games.
Lady luck Leafs.
I'd expect to see more from the old 1st line than Lupul and Kessel's line tonight. Lupul's puck control has always been very suspect. I'm glad he had a decent night last night. I'd be fairly surprised if he can get on the score sheet two nights in a row.Last edit: 2011-10-21 06:01:49 |

After already missing their #1 center Zajac (out until at least December) the Devils just lost their #2 center Jacob Josefson with a fractured clavicle, so he's out until at least late January at best, and that's a huge injury for a hockey player. Not as a bad as a blown knee but it's still a bad one.
So now our top two centers are Elias (a converted left wing, not an impact player at center) and Zubrus (a converted wing, but he is a good twoway center). Brad Mills is a decent 4th line center, and I guess they'll have to call up Adam Henrique (scored 25+25 in his AHL rookie year last season) to fill the 3rd line gap.
