"at this point in time" --> there's a word for it: now "throw down" --> as far as I'm concerned, the only thing that's ever thrown down are infested terrans "here we see" --> just filler "timing" --> This one gets me the worst. Any time any player ever does something these days it's called a "timing". To me it's always meant sacrificing long term gains for short term ones, to get a short-term edge over your opponent that you can exploit. Attacking as soon as your +1 attack finishes is not a "timing attack", it's just a good time to attack. Cutting workers and long term production to get +1 a minute earlier because you know your opponent's build is weak at that point is a timing attack. Blindly attacking when an upgrade finishes is not! |

I agree with this, it feels a bit degrading to the loser of the match. |

its a very common phrase commentators also use for real sports...its just an accurate descreption if someone played a level below his enemy...and when he did why shouldnt they call it? the loser then just has to play at his normal level next game, its his own fault if he "degrades" his own play |

Gretorp has many expressions that he should stop using. English isn't my first language but even i realize how some things he says sound plain stupid. Can't remember precisely the phrases so i won't try to make them up but i remember when i watched nasl few times i was face palming like every 2 minutes. So Gretorp, stop talking shit and make some sense out of your sentences, viewers aren't idiots. Much love... Last edit: 2011-10-17 09:35:42 |

If people are passionate about something, they will form critical opinions about it. It's silly to say "quit whining, don't watch, etc." This is something we love and we want it to be the best it can be. Passionate people form strong opinions and that is as it should be. It raises standards. We're at a point in SC2 now where we don't have to stand for terrible casting. It's not about being unappreciative, it's about raising the bar on something worthwhile. |

| I think that stuff like "amazing force-fields/fungals/emp's" are used to liberally since it is mostly used as soon as it hits and not after the effect has been shown/evaluated. I can't even count the times I've heard casters used "great fungal/force-field/emp" when it is not :/ |

I don't think there has been a bad force field cast in the history of SC2.
To be fair, praise of forcefields is only allowed to be used as commentary of MC.
There are standard (normal, good, pretty much does the trick) forcefields, and then there are MC-class forcefields. |
