Empress Marsh by GWen
This is a 2 player map I've been working on. I tried to go for a smaller map that had 2 viable thirds, each with different advantages. Control over the centre of the map is important due to the large area of vision that the Xel'Naga Towers grant. The side paths can be used when trying to sneak small armies into the thirds. The map can be split several different ways depending on how players expand but controlling the centre will be important in all cases.
Overview:
# of Players: 2
Playable Bounds: 144x136
Tileset: Typhoon
Natural to Natural: 31s
Main to Main: 42s
The natural choke can almost be walled off with 3 gateways or barracks.

In addition a Nexus, pylon, forge and cannon are enough to wall off the natural making forge FEs fairly safe on this map.

The outer edges of the map are about 3 gateways wide:

I've tried to make the map look good without using too many interfering doodads. I think the Typhoon/Zhakul'Das hybrid turned out pretty well considering only six textures were used. Bel'Shir foliage was used to put the finishing touches on the map.
As always feedback is greatly appreciated, you can play the map on Battle.net by searching for "Empress Marsh" (Marsh not March).
