Really?... The situation with stephano was in now way col fault. Jason is a great guy, don't shit on him for no reason
Did you read what he said on reddit? "We're sending TriMaster to Korea any week now and Johan is well aware of that. I'm not going to get into a public argument and wish him the very best but this was a one way decision. His contract was being sold (to Quantic or someone else) whether he approved or not." Which translates to: I don't want to say anything bad, but I'm going to proceed to say that we don't care what our players want. Or he was STRONGLY implying that Naniwa had pissed off the team. Either way, he was getting into a public argument in the very statement where he said he didn't want to. And terse little laws like "whether he approved or not" imply a management style of which I don't approve.
I don't see how he said, "We don't care what our players want". That's some pretty crazy extrapolation from something that isn't event hinted at. He does plainly state that Naniwa is not being entirely honest about no future English speaking teammates coming to Korea, I see no problem with calling someone who is lying to make themselves look better provided that is the case, we aren't sure. The second was a pretty clear statement that they were going to remove him from the team and were looking to do so, effectively suggested he was being "kicked out" in a sense. Considering his history, I'm sort of leaning towards Complexity's side but it seems they didn't know what they were getting into despite Odee briefing them on what to expect.
All I read was a guy who tried to set himself up on a pedestal but then couldn't resist taking a jab at Naniwa anyway. And given the tone of both of their statements, I'm going to side with Naniwa. Kyle says they were going to send a player "any week now" which doesn't sound terribly concrete.
And fine, they're kicking Naniwa off the team. Naniwa had the grace to make a good statement about how he was actually excited and CoL could have just left it at that. Instead he comes in and trolls. |

| Slightly suprised but very happy. Since Naniwa joined Col he obviously haven't enjoyed himself. Before that his manner was actually quite okay at tournaments etc, but since then it've been only going down. I think a great reason for that was that he had none to talk to etc, and even if Trimaster was going to stay there a while SaSe is someone he knows from before+is going to stay there indefinitely just like him. |

Breaking a contract and having his contract sold isn't the same...
practically the same
The contract isn't supposed to change if you sell it
So breaking a contracact supposedly to get more money isn't even comparable |

IMNestea and MLG itself. "joke tournament"
Nestea mentioned Naniwa in his last interview, if anything it was a good publicity stunt
Yeah wtf man, what team gets most publicity? EG! Who plays on EG? IdrA (he is BM sometimes, like giving the middle finger to MC/huk) , so I don't think it's about him making thumbs down to Nestea lol xD.
John knew that TriMaster was going there, maybe he said something like he wasn't a worthy practice partner or something like that? But it's all just theorycrafting... |

About how he was excited about his new team, just like every other player on the planet does in posts about joining a team. If Naniwa was spreading misinformation, Jason Lake has every right to call him out on it, I don't see how it's inappropriate at all. |

| How many foreign teams are left? Eg, mouz, liquid, reign, fnatic, it's gosu, acer, millennium, alternate.... so 8 down, 9 to go, almost half. I hope he can find a team to stick with, perhaps quantic will be a good fit for him. |

What I'm about to post is just pure speculation and we can't ever know the whole truth but with Naniwas bad reputation it's quite easy for CoL to make Naniwa look like the bad guy here while Naniwas statement seems to say otherwise, to be it just seems like CoL wants to make Naniwa look like a bad guy here without making it too obvious, then again Naniwa could just be acting good aswell.
Also lol at all the shit about naniwa "bming" nestea at MLG... Give me a break, Nestea said he would CRUSH Naniwa before the match, personally. People never look at all the facts, pisses me off... |

Really? Naniwa lied that CoL had no plans to send anyone to Korea and the best Kyle can offer as a rebuttal is "we're sending one any week now." Sorry, that doesn't sound like great evidence. Also, Naniwa has been in Korea by himself for a long time now and clearly hasn't enjoyed himself. It doesn't surprise me that he doesn't find comfort in "just keep waiting an indeterminate number of weeks and we'll send you a buddy."
And there's a difference between clarifying and clearly trying to start something.
Bottom line: Players aren't the only ones who need to work on how they appear in the media.
