| okay, let me start off by saying I have looked EVERYWHERE asked LiquidSheth for guidance and all I get is look on google. I've spent LOADS of my time on google searching for a Korean account. When I say Korean I do not mean a TW account that is SIMILAR to a Korean one. I really wish to purchase the legit thing and i cannot find anything on sites such as Team Liquid, google, ebay, or anything else! I am sorry if this has been answered before and if there is any link to a site, forum, or whatever to what I have stated above please do so! Thank you! |

As far as I know you need to have a Korean social security number or some sort of citizen identification number to sign up for a Korean battle.net account and buy the game. So the only real way to get one is to borrow the KSSN from a Korean and then get the game. So you wither have to know someone who is a Korean citizen or have some sort of hookup in order to get a Korean account.
If you really just want a KR account becuase you prefer the KR client over the TW client then you can always buy a TW account then just relocalize a KR client so you can use a TW account on it. Last edit: 2011-12-11 09:49:59 |

I have a KR account and it was so much trouble to get one. Basically you need to get a real Korean's KSSN (korean social security number) and a korean phone. If you think you can just find some random kssn on the internet and that's it, your wrong; you have to have the person also send an SMS text message to their phone, along with their name, and address. Basically you have to have a Korean person trust you with giving you every single piece of information about themselves to you. I don't know about you, but I don't just hand out my SSN to strangers. Lastly, even if a Korean person trusts you it can still be hard to get because if you are using their kssn that is technically illegal and many Koreans object to that.
I have heard of only one benefit of having a KR account over a TW one. That is you can have an account name in hangul.
Seriously, it is 100 times easier to get a TW account. You still get matched against Koreans. Also if you prefer the Korean sounds and interface then there are some ways to change that as well.

TW isn't really the same as KR. You get Chinese language client if you go TW unless you jump through the relocalisation hoops.

It lets you use any language client on any server. KR client on NA, GER client on KR, etc |
