Thanks man! It's a good year for me already, I need to "re set" my year goal and aim a bit higher. Might do a reset soon.
@Risen sucks to hear that man, people sometimes are really morons. I always ask for a spotter, specially on heavy squats, even thought I rarely need help, it always helps a lot to have someone there just in case. Anyhow, fuck taht retard. |

Yeah i would never ask someone i dont know to spot me. And why i love squatting with bumper plates, so much easier to just dump the weight than put it in the safety bars or have someone spot you up.

Lol funkie strong legs weak liver. I did at least 10 times over the school year. My lifts also didn't go up much so there's something to be said for drinking too much |

So today, Popeye's supplements was having their customer appreciation day (sorry I don't know if that exists down in the States). I went with the intention of buying some fish oil but they were also giving out goody bags to customers who got there early. Amongst the packets of protein powder and creatine pills, I found some that really got my interest because I have no clue what some of the stuff is.
+ Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/uNwrO.jpg) I have never seen so many words that don't seem like they should be words on a small little packet of powder, to make things worse, on the back of this package were multiple labels saying things along the lines of "extremely potent, do not exceed recommended dosage" ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/worWv.jpg) Nothing special about this... looks like ordinary protein powder ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/odQ7R.jpg) 1010 calories per 64g of powder? Can anyone confirm whether this is legit or if I'm just getting trolled? |

from what i understand the first thing is just a pre workout stimulant as it says on the packet. just to get you pumped. it's like a shot of energy. never taken it so i dont know too much about it
the other stuff is just mass gainer. the calories you get are legit but it's super processed. real food is much better if you actually want to be healthy lolLast edit: 2012-05-27 14:55:49 |

I don't think Popeye's exists in that states. I live on the border (between Ontario and Montreal) so I get commercials for it on all the Canadian TV/Radio stations, but I've never heard it on US stuff.
Went to a wedding today for my highschool basketball coach; tons of fun, started drinking at 6, ended at 3. Was complimentary Beer, but I don't drink beer so it came out to be a rather expensive day =(. |

Followed decaf's advice and ran with a linear progression program, here are my numbers so far:
Old maxes ---> new maxes
Squat: 2 x 205 ---> 3 x 5 x 190 easy Bench 2 x 145 ---> 5/5/4 130 Deadlift 2 x 265 ---> 5 x 255
Really pleased with the results so far. Currently stalled on the bench though since my left elbow felt like it was going to pop out of place during the last rep so I opted not to grind it.
Any advice on how to work on weak / shaky elbows during the bench? Much appreciated, thanks! |

If you read carefully it says that a full serving is 255gr and that thing has only 1/4 of that. 167gr carbs and 57gr protein in a scoop of 64gr would require some magic . |

Helped my mom move this weekend. All my family was all liek "holy shit, you fit boi!" and they're white, and Swedish, so they must have been REALLY impressed to talk like that.
Felt good.
Started on GVT today. 100 reps of 60kg, 1 minute breaks between sets of 10reps. Was killing me after 3 sets, was basically dead after 7, then the three last sets suddenly became easy. And then when I went on to do pullups I realized I had probably died somewhere in the middle there because I was completely burned, so I went and showered.
Will be interesting to see how this works out. |

I'm going to begin taking chin ups a bit more seriously now. What's the best way to do it for pure strength?
On Friday I did 5x5 chin ups at bodyweight and was fairly easy. I'm going to do them every tuesday and friday. Should I go for 3x5 weighted? 5x5? 3x8? Any advice appreciated.
I think I need to add some weight to them. Do I do it SS style where I add weight each time until I stall 3 times then deload 10%? |

I progressed on reps up till I was doing 3x10 before I added weight, then I switched to 3x5 + weight So if you wanted you could start with weight now or add reps for a bit. And as far as the other question goes, yes |
