His SC2 play hasn't been anything special so far, wake up and smell the coffee man.
It's not about his sc2 play, it's about the fact that the only reason we're enjoying this game right now is because of him. Appreciate it
Speak for yourself, please. I have far more reasons to enjoy it and I'm under no obligation to appreciate it for whatever reason you do.
He means he was the lynch pin behind the success of Brood War. Whatever you or anyone thinks, without him, Brood War may never have ever reached the success it did, and therefore Starcraft 2 may have never been. Also his SC2 play is better than you give it credit for. Qualifying for Code S is tough and he has done it recently.
Ah yes, Brood War, but I didn't say anything about BW, where the man himself is ofcourse as great of a legend as they get. I'm not one for faith and believing though, as much as I've enjoyed his BW plays, his SC2 plays have seemed lackluster to me compared to some other players, as such, I'm not that excited about his stream and was simply quite surprised at the amount of people going nuts about this topic simply because it's him. When it comes to streams, I care for the playing, not so much the players. Also, if....Teaja, was it? Hadn't won his games, he would never have gotten into Code S, something that deserves mention IMO.
Yeah but if it wasn't for his BW plays, who knows? We might not even be on this website, discussing this game, with the options of watching hundreds of other gamers if it wasn't for Boxer.
Very true, very true. But as I said, when it comes to watching streams, I care for the playing, not the person.
You're part of the idrA fanclub.... Your arguement about "good play" is invalid.
Believe it or not, Boxer's not very good. He did alot of weird shit like the reaper all ins to get to Code S and GomTV consistently fixes the preleminary brackets for him (and other legends like YellOw) to give him as many bye's and easy opponents as possible.
That is quite a claim, fixing brackets would be a serious offence.
He got through the up/down matches with a group of TaeJa, asd, Squirtle, Cezanne and Genius. That doesn't sound fixed to me.

That would be considered a huge offense in Korea not only would GOM be under investigation but anyone involved would be sentenced to jail time. I highly doubt they would risk such a thing for the same of maybe an extra 5k viewers |

It's just a netizen rumor that's spread around quite a bit by WaxAngel
But it's going to be impossible to prove such a claim unless you get copies of emails or something that were sent out

Reaper all-ins? If you actually had your facts straight, you would know that he always expanded after those reaper builds. Idk why people go to such lengths to badmouth someone who made all this possible

What? Not only is this the most ridiculous thing I've seen posted on TL... it's downright wrong. BoxeR showed us strategies such as the mass OC lategame. He has shown many macro games and despite being older than most and managing his own team, he has still proven to be at least Code A material. While BoxeR may not be a tip top terran like Polt, MVP or Bomber, he is easily above 90% of the current "pros". If youre not willing to watch BoxeR's stream because of skill you might as well only watch fOrGG and Polt stream when they can because everyone else is a huge noob... obviously.. |
