Uh yeah.. I don't see either Day9 or Husky going on the podcast to be honest, I consider those guys more mainstream personalities to suit a more casual audience, not to question their manhood, but I don't see them going on and discussing pussy and pot and whatever else for 2 or so hours.
djWHEAT on the other hand would be a perfect candidate as I'm sure Joe would be more interested in talking to him about eSports and SC2 in general being as Joe was addicted to Quake himself. | djwheat and incontrol are probably more relatable to normal people than day9. Husky, too probably. I know everyone around here loves day9 (I do too), but you have to take a step back and realize how fucking nerdy he would seem to anybody else. |

Remember last year when people suddenly decided they wanted a showmatch between, I think, Tasteless and Day9? And instead of asking either of them if they were interested they started collecting money and setting dates. How did that work out?
So maybe this time we should ask Day9, Husky, Wheat, or whoever else if they're actually interested instead of assuming and trying to put them on the spot. |

Don't forget about Nik Lentz. He's a UFC Lightweight that has said he loves watching and playing SC. He even posts about GSL on Twitter. Kid's not bad either.
If I was to vote for a representative I would vote for Tasteless over Day[9] though. Then Day[9] over anyone else.

I'm seconding this. As by absolute coincidence to the timing of this post, I caught a portion of Deadmau5 on Joe Rogan's show. It was very crude to say the least. I don't know if that particular guest is an accurate portrayal of what the show is usually like.. but I can't see anyone from the SC2 scene on his show if it's like that. The closest thing to a good choice I suppose would be djWHEAT. |

It would have to be DJWheat. No one is arguing that Day[9] lacks charisma, but his persona doesn't mesh with Rogan's show. I doubt he wants to go on there and talk about random vulgarity (don't get me wrong, I love the show, but it is vulgar) and then go do his daily show where he can't say “fuck” too many times or he has to have a warning on his TL description.
You could argue that the “real” Day[9] would be a perfect fit, but he's built his Starcraft 2 career on being relatively clean. Wheat is less censored and would be perfect. |
