Blaze utterly destroyed Frost. Don't let their top get Jax.
Also, did we see WE a lot recently? The name is not unknown to me, but I can't put a name on any of their players.Last edit: 2012-05-19 21:49:16 |

| now if only there was M5 included in that list. They are probably the best western team in LAN events for LoL and while both the CLG teams are able to win online tournaments (EU beating M5 in CVC recently) M5 has been unstoppable in LAN. |

| Navi is a pretty new team, but they have a brand that is well known even to the koreans aswell as they have been doing pretty ok recently. So I assume those are the combination required to get invited |

Finished top 8, Super famous in Korea, an overall good team, invited teams from NA are CLG and Dig, TSM could be a good invite aswell, but they are not on the list of invited teams. Living together could be a problem for CLG, but I trust they are going to find a solution, maybe they will co-house with CLG.eu or get a proper manager around this time to whip them to not slack while they are over here. CLG not a bad choice overall, neither for the organizers, the team and especially not bad for the fans.
The summer tourny is looking pretty solid, allready 9 teams in seeded, what is interesting is: Who qualifies? Will Najin e-Mfire make the cut? Will LG_IM and Startale make it? How many of the MVP teams will make it? if any at all? Are we going to see some surprise teams? (I think we will ) What about other international teams? Are they going to try and qualify?
A lot of unanswered questions (why clg.na is playing is not one) and it is looking to be a pretty darn solid tournament.
HazMat: they made it to the quarterfinals so that makes them in the top 8 Last edit: 2012-05-20 02:47:54 |

Top 16 out of 16 isn't really an accomplishment. |

I wonder if that changes now...

For what it's worth, MiG Blaze was formed after MiG Frost lost to Cafe Team in a local Korean tournament. They were impressed with Jack Sparrow's play, so they invited him to be on MiG. From there, they formed a second team around Jack Sparrow. So technically, it's the second time he's lost the Finals of a tournament to Jack Sparrow. He talks about losing to them in one of his VLogs (I've included it below).
Interestingly, MiG Frost has now come 2nd in the three tournaments they've competed in since forming (WCG 2011 Qualifiers, Inven and OGN Champions). New Kong line of LoL?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOJILRWJrJk
New List of Confirmed Teams for OGN Champions Season 2 - Summer 2012:
- MiG Blaze (1st place seed)
- MiG Frost (2nd place seed)
- Xenics Storm (3rd place seed)
- Team OP (4th Place/NLB Championship Seed, although they are disbanding to form the LG-IM team)
- CLG.NA (Invite)
- CLG.EU (Invite)
- Dignitas (Invite)
- Navi (Invite)
- World Elite (Invite)
That's 8 definite teams, potentially 9 with Team OP (LG-IM).
The remaining teams will be taken from the OGN Qualifiers, with Preliminaries to be held 25-29th May. (Source)Last edit: 2012-05-20 04:11:49 |
