Hello all,
I know there is a thread already talking about the Starcraft Master portrait and how to obtain it (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=264353), but I thought actually playing the mod while logged into your own battle.net account deserved it's own thread and discussion (on how to beat any of the first 15 missions, etc).
I was surfing the battle.net forums and found this thread:
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/4079871415
"This map has been available in its unfinished stage for a long time, and it was clearly built in the alpha phases judging by the unit balance. Someone posted how to get to it back when these achievements were first visible on the PTR, but I can't find it so i can't properly credit (sorry awesome dude).
The quick tutorial on how to get there:
Open up the map editor
Open -> Campaign tab -> open TSimulator.SC2Map
File -> dependencies -> add standard -> check all
Test the file (ctrl+F9)"
-------
After playing the mod for a bit I decided to try and open it while logged into my own account instead of offline and see if I could unlock any of the achievements.
When you try to launch it using the method above when logged in, it will start to load, and then tell you that you have finished all of the missions in the Starcraft 2 Starter's Edition (which I have never even owned). It then asks you if you want to continue (sending you back to battle.net but not loading the game) or if you want to purchase the full edition (which clicking does nothing).
I then loaded the mod up again offline and tried saving it as a campaign mission.
I then searched for the save file on my computer and moved it to a save file folder under my battle.net account so that I could load it while logged in.
This is the only way I have found so far to do this, and all 15 of the first missions are playable (while logged into battle.net). I am not sure if the achievements are unlocking yet as I have only beaten the first 3 missions while logged in.
You can skip around to any level while typing: 'spacejumpX' where x is a round number, during any round.
You can add extra live typing: 'omnipotence'
Or even reset to the beginning by typing: 'thereisnotry'
------
Edit: Added the guide to the levels and fixed some spelling issues.
There is already some discussion in the battle.net on how to beat the harder levels, which I will summarize bellow, but nothing describing how to launch the game while logged in to battle.net like I outlined (again why I think it deserved it's own thread).
#1 Marine Double Team: Make zealot chase one marine while you shoot with the other, run away with the one being chased. When It switches targets do the same thing"
#11 Storm 'n' Run: You must immediately run the high templar back to the far left so that no marines follow you. Then you go and pull without using storm, or they all will come, just several marines. Quickly run left so you don't pull any more, storm the ones that did come and repeat after you're back at 150 energy.
#13 Hold Position: Take all probes and surround your cannon. Then just hold position the probes, lings won't be able to attack anything.
#?? (Hellion One - unsure of name/#): Form line with marines and toast them down. Make sure you are out of range in between shots.
#3 Zealot Choke: Run to fan at bottom of map, and hold position to minimize surface area
#7 Collosus Smash: There is a spot in the upper right of the map (left won't work), which is snuggled between the ramp. Just sit there and kill most of the lings before moving anywhere else (around yellow health) since they will bunch up, can't surround you and you can easily move back. Then just run to the cliff/low ground area and wait for all the lings to move to the opposite as you switch between the two and kill the rest.
Edit: Found an even easier way to beat #7: All you need to do is go to that same spot in between the upper right ramp and the edge of the map. When the lings come to that corner just move the collosus up to the high ground with just enough of him still on the low ground for 1-2 lings to attack. They will all stay there bunched while you kill them and only 1-2 lings attack you.

Hello,
first of all: @Mods - Shouldn't this thread be in the single player forum?!
Anyways, these are my methods of completing the 15 playable levels, that are available already:

Put the one Marine that isn't attacked on Hold Position. Run in circles with the other. If you don't make sharp turns, you won't get hit a single time.
#2:
+ Show Spoiler +
Your stalkers are faster than the Zealots. Just studderstep them: Run a bit until you have a small gap. Press Stop. Let them shoot. Repeat until win.
#3:
+ Show Spoiler +
Run all your Zealots back to the smaller choke immediately. Put them all on Hold Position when arrived. They should form a nice line. One Zealot will not be able to attack at first. Replace a weaker one with him, when needed.
#4:
+ Show Spoiler +
Wait until the Marines go north. Burrow all your Lings in their pass. When the Marines are exactly above your lings unburrow. Lean back and watch.
#5:
+ Show Spoiler +
Split the hydras in two groups. Queue a move command for the left group to go slightly to the left, the other slightly to the right, so that you get a nice arc as soon as the challenge starts. Move weak hydras back to mitigate damage.
#6:
+ Show Spoiler +
Targetfire the spinecrawler. Move back weak hydras. The spine may attack a hydra 3 times before you have to move it back.
#7:
+ Show Spoiler +
Put the colossus on hold right at the beginning. Wait until ALL the lings come to the highground, then go down the cliff and hold again. Repeat. Important: Wait until ALL lings are either on the low or high ground. If they get split up, you might be in trouble. Also make sure that your Colossus never stands half on the high and half on the low ground.
#8:
+ Show Spoiler +
Blink up to a tank so that you stand really close. Take him out, then walk real close to the other tank. You can spread your Stalkers out a bit, while attacking the first tank, so that the other wont splash-hit both, but thats optional.
#9:
+ Show Spoiler +
Attack the bunker. Burrow weak roaches, thus mitigate the damage over all three. If necessary you can burrow all 3 roaches for healing as there is no detection.
#10:
+ Show Spoiler +
Go to the most southern end of the platform with all your units. As the lings attack, close the cap with 3(!) ForceFields. That should be enough, to not get hit by a single zerling. Replace ForceFields right before they expire. Let your units just autofire. If the FFields land correctly, you wont lose a single bit of healthpoints.
#11:
+ Show Spoiler +
This challenge is bs. You need to walk your HT back as soon as the challenge starts. Then you need to attract attention of very small groups of marines, by baiting them as you walk close. If you are lucky, you get chunks of 3-6 marines, if not you get a single marine. Repeat this until every marine is dead. Can take up to an hour or so.
#12:
+ Show Spoiler +
Send your drones mining and build an overlord asap. Larva will pop out very quickly. Build 3 drones, as soon as overlord pops. When the 'rush' comes, wait until the lings are in the mineralline, then select all workers and a-click somewhere. You even may build 3 more drones, but thats optional.
#13:
+ Show Spoiler +
Queue a probe in the nexus before the challenge starts. Take all your probes, right click asap on the cannon and put them to hold position. This way you will get a nice surround on your cannon. Correct the positioning a little bit, so that there is a full blockade on the cannon and no zergling can slip through. Because the lings are set to targetfire the cannon, they won't attack your probes, if they are on hold. If the cannon has exactly 8 kills, you can a-move all your probes to get a nice completion time (my record: 27.5 seconds).
#14:
+ Show Spoiler +
Move all your Zealots away from the lings at first. Then select single zealots and attack-move them into the banelings one by one. Spread the remaining zealots out, and put them on hold. You may ensure your victory by grabbing one zealot and movecommanding him with some waypoints along the edges to place the banelings initially spawend.
#15:
+ Show Spoiler +
Before the challenge actually starts, grab the left 3 hellions and set them to target fire the 2nd left marine in the 2nd row. Tell the 2 other hellions on the right to target fire the 2nd right marine in the 2nd row. In fact you can lean back now, while the challenge is actually going on. If for some reason that doesn't work for you, set all your hellions to targetfire a marine in the middle AFTER they blew of their first shot.
Hope this helps!

If you put the unfocused marine on hold position you are required to run in small circles with the other marine in order to be shooting the zealot with the unfocused marine all time. However, as you already pointed out, small circles means that the zealot may deal damage or even kill the running marine. So, don't put the marine on hold pos, run in bigger circles and switch the marines' roles should the zealot change focus. To complete the challenge a few seconds faster start shooting with both marines when the zealot is low.
#2:
+ Show Spoiler +
Pressing stop to do the stutter-step doesn't ensure focus firing. If you want to do the challenge faster press attack on one of the zealots and focus him (of course still stutter-stepping, just with a-move instead of stop-command). As soon as only one zealot is left you may repeat the process of the first challenge, letting the running stalker shoot from time to time. Let's you complete the challenge faster. You may also just stand still with both stalkers for the last zealot and let him poke away. Shields will deplete, no stalker should die though.
#3:
+ Show Spoiler +
Run your zealots back to the fan instead of blocking the broader passageway. There even is a small gap between map-border and fan, which allows you to neatly tuck away one zealot. Screenshots: http://i.imgur.com/NdROJ.jpg & http://i.imgur.com/vvjrO.jpg

The trick is to position the burrowed zerglings in a way that makes the marine ball disperse, allowing all of your lings to attack and surround single marines. If your burrow is positioned well enough you may sit back. If the ball remains dense you will fail.
#8:
+ Show Spoiler +
You can blink your stalkers right between the tanks. There's a small spot where both of the tanks cannot shoot and your stalkers will take zero damage. Finding the right spot is easier with just one stalker, so feel free to leave one of the stalkers behind where the tanks can't reach and eventually call it in when you found the spot with the first stalker.

Burrow the weak roach. Make sure the bunker changed focus and unburrow it again for additional firepower. As soon as the next roach is low, burrow both the earlier weak roach and the current one. Wait for the bunker to focus the healthy one and unburrow again. When the last roach is low burrow all, wait a few seconds and unburrow the healthiest first, quickly unburrowing the other ones. Repeat from beginning for profit.
#12:
+ Show Spoiler +
Don't build an overlord. The overlord will pop the second the lings run in, so the additional drones you produce will come in too late (assuming you actually need them). A better way is to do a double-extractor trick to quickly free up supply. When the lings run in select all your drones and send them to one mineral patch. As soon as they are clumped, do the a-move and your drones will automatically spread. With a little bit of micro you can keep weak drones alive by selecting them and putting them on hold position (cancelling the attack-command and making the ling that is attacking them change focus). After the ling stopped attacking the drone you can put it on a-move again.
#13:
+ Show Spoiler +
In fact the zerglings will take out one or two probes to get to the cannon. It's nothing of importance though. The cannon should be able to cope with one ling attacking it.

There are several possibilities to do the challenge. One is to do a little bit of scoot-n-shoot with the hellions. Everytime the hellions move back the marines should clump up a little, allowing your splash to have more effect. You also may take 2 hellions of your main group (that is attacking from the front) and run them to the sides and abuse the concave the marines form.
