the point of the focus groups is to improve, not to show off. i'd imagine Day9 picked the focus players because they have particular issues to address, not because he is biased towards them.

probably because it doesn't really matter. Conflicting sponsors happen all the time. Look at NASCAR. Coca Cola sponsors a race but Jeff Gordon, who is sponsored by Pepsi still gets to race in it.
Red Bull knows by having EG players come in, more people will watch. More people watching is only good for Red Bull. EG knows by sending their players to this LAN, not only will they get great practice, but their sponsors, including Monster will be on the stream.
MLG is sponsored by NOS, yet we still see that Monster logo on stage a good bit at the tournament. Why? Because its actually beneficial to all.
I do have one big suggestion: Last time you had to communicate with players via typing and just the commentators were able to talk during the games. It would make for a much more interesting production if you had the ability to bring the players in and out of the conversation during the games via a voice coms program or something.

while this is very likely true, i wanna hear from an EG or Redbull guy if this is the reason :O
or maybe they are sending Eg players because they agreed to go travel to America once again because they really dont get to and Jyp and Puma can meet the team go to the trainging house right after and even help the focus 4 and why are we acting like eg players are the best and dont need to be the focus 4 because they are all ready the best? yeah they are good but sheth one of the focus 4 can easily take both out.

i understand that, but the thing that makes me ask "huh?" is that the whole thing is made by redbull, not just sponsored by redbull. meanwhile dreamhack isnt JUST AMD. just makes me wonder.

Classic how this is even being discussed. Where as its named the Red Bull lan the EG players can still wear their shirts. Giving publicity to their sponsors. Its a place for them to improve their game and have a unique practice environment.

im saying how EG is sponsored by monster, at a redbull LAN. doesnt have to do with the players. we're not talking about skill at all here. and btw sheth can't "easily" take both out, he can sometimes, but not "easily".
wait- inviting EG players?? last time I checked RedBull was a competitor of Monster Energy Drinks...i mean EG didnt let Incontrol go on SOTG b/c of sponsorhip conflicts (just wondering honestly)
