Seed did his homework. Leenock is known for doing pressure builds versus Protoss fast expands, and 3gate expand is always best versus early roach/ling/hydra pressure. Leenock also went more defensive than he should have because he expected some one base all-in or timing seeing no FFE. I really like watching players who are prepared not just for their race matchup, but study their opponent and prepare builds for them specifically. Might end up with lopsided games, but I enjoy the strategic part of it. That's why I like month-long tournaments as opposed to weekenders.
yeah, I think Seed really studied his opponent. Yet Leenock played absolutly horrible imo. First game he played way to safe, second game... yeah hydra nydus is crap and then putting it in the most obvious place... I mean he could have done it from the highground or a little further back... and then it looked like he had never played hydras since the beta. "Counterattack!!! ...damn are you are slow... Retreat!!!" |

| I feel like if Leenock hadn't thrown away those Roaches and Infestors trying to attack up a ramp full of Sentries and Colossi, he would have had an easier time cleaning up Seed's big push and won that game. |
