Hey guys, I was looking at the old thread and decoded to take the initiative. Who wants to meet up at thw GSL Finals this Saturday and then sit together, then hit up shinchon Yaletown for some GSL finals after party type deal?

3:30PM KST
@ Hangnyeoul station (학여울역) Exit 1.
This way, we can do our introductions and such, and can stand in line together. I also recommend reserving seats as FuRong so handsomly gave us the info to do so, just in case.
Also, I think it would be a smart idea to PM your numbers, so that we can get a roll call or what not, and not miss anyone who wants to join us.
After the games, I suggest we head to the former home of Seoul's Barcraft, Yaletown. Get some drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) and some burgers. Delish. For after that, we can hit up Hongdae, or Shinchon for some more chaotic drinking/partying.
I will also be trying my best to sweet talk some people from the games to come join us. More the merrier they say.
Looking foward to meeting all of you guys, see you on Saturday.

Itll be a smart idea to make reservations for yourselves, and since some of you kind gentlemen made extra reservations, thank you alot for that.
Ive sent out a few texts, five so far, for my number and all the jazz. You'll probably recognize us as the big group of English Speakers and Ill probably hold a sign saying somewhere along the lines of, "TEAM LIQUID SEOUL COMMUNITY!"
Also, I will see what I can do to making a reservation for the big table at Yaletown for us after the games.

Alright guys, a few more hours till its game time.
Ill be wearing a shirt that says, "I need a girlfriend ##########" and asian. I will say, I will wait till 3:45PM KST, then we will start walking towards the line, so try to get there on time, with a 15 minute leeway for late comers. I have the numbers for the people who haved PM'd me so Ill give you guys a call or what not to see whats going on.
For yaletown, I wasnt able to get a reservation so we'll just have to wing it. But were nerds! We endure everything from wedgies to pimples.
Anyways, see ya at Exit #1 at the station.

I will most likely be there. Arrived in Korea few days ago and I am very determined to go watch some live sc 2 and bw.
For the first time I am not hoping for a long gsl final as I am staying in Ilsan and the train journey takes hour and a half with last trains at 11 pm. |

Dude, I was just about to make this thread. You can add this to the OP if you want:
Place: Seoul Trade Exhibition and Convention (SETEC)
Date: Saturday March 3rd
Time: Starts at 5pm, GOM recommends getting there by 4pm
Cost: Free, obv
Who's playing:  DongRaeGu vs  Genius in a bo7, for map info etc refer to the LR thread here
Instructions on how to get there + how to reserve a seat (if you reserve then you get a better seat, and also free entry into a separate prize draw)
The plan: Watch the finals and then dinner/afterparty? Suggestions?
Why you should come: Because it's a Code S GSL final with NO TERRANS IN IT. Also, Genius and DRG are two of the most entertaining players you could ask for, and although DRG starts as a slight favourite, this could easily go either way and should be a good series no matter what. Watching live is much more fun than sitting around watching at home, + meeting TLers and socialising and all that good stuff.
And yes, I'll be there, I have something on earlier in the day so I can't do lunch or anything, I'll probably only make it just before 4pm.Last edit: 2012-03-01 13:04:14 |

I dig. I'll be there. What time should we meet? 4? I should have gotten more cell phone numbers last time -_-
Shinchon's a bit far from the event center, but those burgers are so damn good, and a Saturday night is best spent in the Shinchon/Hongdae neighborhood anyway. |

yes, by the starcraft gods yes! I am so joining this.
Been in Seoul for 3 weeks without knowing anyone, will be good to meet fellow TLers and Starcraft 2 fans. Ill reserve a seat for me, should I reserve two seats for someone else or? Ill PM OP my Phone number aswell, starting to get a hang on how the subway system here works, but my directional sense has always been blind.

I already have my seat reservede, but have no clue where I am going. I am living in bucheon in the prime house, and I am trying to get someone to go with me to guide me around, anyone willing to give me directions though.
plus I have a good video camera for videos and such and can record everything (about 2 hours total though) |

@baobab im from Seoul, but im pretty sure itll be worth the trip to come meet some nerd ballers and party alittle bit. but thats assuming u make a english teachers income.

and yeah we live in the mecca for not only SC, but Esports in general. Watched PL today, GSL all last week, and looking forward to the League tourny aswell

Wow, I forgot about that post. That is my life's work here.
I reserved two seats so I'll have an extra seat if the reservations are full.
@masterbreti I've only been here a week but google maps is really helpful. It'll give you exact directions including connecting buses you should take.
